If they truly wanted to give 2012 Leo a GOOD love interest, I wish they brought in Lotus Blossom from the 1987 series. In the 87 cartoon they had really good chemistry, Leo is a responsible leader who wants to follow the rules while Lotus is a mercenary ninja for hire who will do anything (good or bad) as long as it means she's gets a fat paycheck. Their worlds clash and they share a bond on their similar interests, and learn to respect and come to love each others differences.

My other option for a love interest for 2012 Leo, if we're just focusing on already existing characters, Casey Jones. I love 2012 Caseynardo and I think a romance between them would've been so fascinating. Casey is rebellious while Leo is compliant. Casey is rugged and Leo is put together. On the surface, it appears they are opposite but if you look closing, they are both the oldest siblings of their families doing everything in their power to keep their younger siblings safe and make the world a better place for them, and that pressure gets to them.
