Hi there! I was so happy to see an update for this and glad that it's not dead. Loved the new content, as well as Leochlan (wow).... but I understand he's not an RO :'( How would he feel about a Gabriel that's in love with him though?
Not well. Itās complicated, because he wouldnāt outright hate Gabriel, so he isnāt going to be cruel intentionally, but itās not a position he wants to be in.Hereās how it might go:
āDonāt look at me like that.ā
You shift from where you were leaning against the tent flap, coming to stand behind the fae, looking over his bare back as he makes some notes with his left hand while stirring a boiling pot of herbs with his right.
āLike what?ā you ask, playing dumb.
Leochlan sighs, setting down the quill.
āLike a lovesick human.ā He shudders, the response to your emotions causing your next words to taste bitter.
āI canāt help being in love with you,ā you say, softly, wanting to reach out to him.
Leochlan surges up, turning on you so fast you take a step back out of reflex. āI told you, fae donāt do love,ā he snarls. āHow do you think it feels to have this alien emotion rattling around my head? I donāt want it! I donāt need it, and I canāt return it. So take it and go!ā
His slit-pupils are dilated with rage, the angry orange ring of color drowning out the soothing cerulean. āI know you cannot control it, but it pricks and preys at the back of my mind, lurking. You cannot know how it feels to feel something that is impossible for you to feel. It feels like you have turned my own abilities into a torture, a cage from which I cannot escape.ā
His chest heaves with his furious breathes, and after a moment, he speaks again, more composed. āFrom what Iāve gleaned, if you love me, then you will respect my wishes in this and leave me alone until you can rid yourself of these emotions, or at least conceal them better so I am not assaulted with them when you are in my presence.ā
āI--I didnāt mean to--ā you fumble for words that will fix this situation, but there arenāt any, and you both know it. You whirl, fleeing his tent as you feel your heart breaking.
Behind you, you hear the sound of something breaking, followed by a fae curse.
