When the darkness comes, if you ever have doubt about your actions, all you need do is look into the face of a Vorlon. Once you see that, all doubt is erased forever.

For six long seasons, I rooted for Odo. I felt his loneliness, his restraint, the way he loved Kira without expectation. I wanted her to choose him—and, ultimately, she did. His patience was rewarded. His love endured.

And then there was Lennier.

A character I once cared for, admired even—but this time, I couldn’t root for the “other man.” Not because Lennier wasn’t worthy, but because Delenn and Sheridan belonged to each other in a way that felt absolute, inevitable. Their bond left no space for anything else to take hold.

So while I might usually find myself pulling for the one who loves in silence, here I couldn’t. Some loves are meant to be fulfilled.

And some are meant to remain unrequited.
