Some people come into your life only for a moment, and others are forever. But there are the few that make time stand still, the kind of people that you feel have been in your life forever and you’re not really sure when you started being with them, you just are.
You are one of those people. The time we spend together never seems enough and when we’re apart it seems like forever. You make your heart race, not like a steady gallop but more of a clumsy child tripping over her feet while she runs, falling for all of the beauty around her.
Your eyes are like deep pools, glistening in the sun. I watch as your eyes study all of my features and learning everything about me.
Everything is better when I’m with them. Coffee tastes richer, the sun shines brighter, my smile is wider. You bring out the best in everything and have brought out the best in me.
Home is typically seen as a building where someone grows and thrives and can create a safe space in. Sometimes, home is a person. A person that you love with everything inside of you. The way you wrap your arms around me, the way your lips curls up and your nose scrunches up when you smile at me, or the way that your voice sounds saying my name. It feels safe and secure, and I feel like nothing can hurt me.

Late nights, early mornings. Rough passionate sex, and gentle quiet cuddles on the couch. I want routine with you. I want to shower with you. Watching the water run down your perfect naked body, while I caress every part of you. I want to watch our child’s chest rise and fall while we stand over their crib watching them sleep. I want cold winter nights dancing with candles all around us. I want my fingers laced with yours while we walk through the grocery store at 12 am looking for junk food and cheap wine. Drunken kisses and quiet moans. I want to experience everything with you.
I’m sorry I haven’t been the greatest fiance lately, but I am going to try to be better. I am going to be by your side for the rest of time. So get used to this face because you’re going to be seeing a lot more of it.
