Anna-Marie scowled at the title of the Daily Bugle’s headlining article and immediately ripped it to shreds, before tossing it in the trash and pouring her coffee over it in good measure. She didn’t give a lick of what the newspaper said about her and Remy, however, she did care about her children’s names getting dragged into the mud. Her children were honest-to-god good kids and she was proud of how she and Remy raised them. For that rag of a paper to suggest anything otherwise made her blood boil.

“No one messes with my babies and get’s away with it,” she hissed, kicking the trash can as if it had personally insulted her.

She stared at the pealing paint on the white ceiling, frowning in her drugged up haze before she heard a noise at the doorway. She let out an pathetic sounding whine.

“I really want like a piece of chocolate or something. Aren’t doctors supposed to give you candy or am I mixing normal things up again?”
