and well, what’s a nice and sexy man like him got to do to win your pretty little heart? covering for your shift.

now, let’s just say, you had gotten quite the headache and had done the mistake to let him know in an attempt to shut down his, well, attempt on seeing you after work and most likely planning on asking you out on a date.

unfortunately for you, there he was, substituting you at your part-time job at the meat restaurant you worked at. truth is, your manager folded quite easily at his appearance, despite the fact that he clearly did not work there. a few words here and there and he was good to go, his looks sure could do wonders.

a few minutes later, you had walked into the very restaurant after realizing you had quite literally forgotten to call and let your boss know you were sick.

but as you walked in, your colleague—laura, walked past you. “oh, you don’t have to worry about that, this suuper, duper handsome guy came in and covered your shift. girl, you are soo lucky!" she said, the smitten tone in her voice apparent.

lee jay had been making his rounds, his handsome self getting quite the attention from the women, was enough to keep them coming. granted, he did look quite the sight in your apron. the light brown fabric tied around his waist, barely hiding his bulky, muscular build. his suit jacket had been draped over one of the bar stools, and he was just wearing a white collared t-shirt.

“hey, pretty.” he greeted, with the same lazy yet polite grin and eyes of his. he took the opportunity to lower the tray of food, lean in and gently pecking your lips—a brief yet needy kiss. “heard my sweet girl’s having a headache, so, i thought i’d cover for her. didn’t think i’d see you here,” he teased, his free hand snaking around your waist. he was impossible.

You’ve been stressed. overworking yourself with an unreasonable amount of jobs and you know it. you needed to relax—unwind, perhaps. and he knew that, better than anyone.

effortlessly, he pulled you into him, his muscular body and broad shoulders straining against the uniform. “don’t be mad, yeah? i was just trying to help,” his voice was smooth, with a soft tone, unassuming yet so irresistible. “I think i’m doing an alright job, don’t you?”

he was a walking contradiction, a clueless airhead that was somehow sweet and gentle yet nonetheless, a man who could break you in two but instead, decided to reel you in.
