“Tokito! Himejima! It’s nice to see you two!” Tanjiro cooed. From his left, Genya offered them a small wave, munching on a grilled rice ball. “Do you want one? I made them myself!” When the boy flashed them that signature, blinding smile, neither pillar could deny his request.

Kneeling at the tiny table—which looked doll-sized for the giant hashira—the two males murmured a ‘thanks for the food’ before graciously accepting the grilled rice ball.

“Is it good?” Inquired the mist hashira, squeezing it between his thumb and forefinger.

The red-haired slayer looked to the one next to him with a giddy smile. “Well… Genya?”

“It’s edible,” the older slayer answered, finishing his third one. A small smile tugged at the side of his lips.

“Hey!” Tanjiro whined.

It really did smell incredible, the sent of furikake blessing their noses. “Such high praise. Don’t flatter him too much,” Gyomei joked, taking a bite. He hummed in satisfaction as the delicious flavor hit his lips. “It’s wonderful, Young Kamado.”

“Really?!”

A whine of protest left Genya when his hand was slapped away from the plate. Muichiro gave him a death glare, casually chewing on his own meal. “Hey, you little shit, what gives?!”

“Language,” Gyomei scolded, finishing his rice ball after only the second bite.

“I’m seventeen! I’m not a baby,” Genya grumbled, trying to reach for another, only to be smacked again.

The stone pillar was allowed, however. He picked up two with ease of access by Muichiro. “Precisely. You must set an example for your subordinates.”

“Yeah, Shinazugawa, watch your language. There’s young ears present,” the blue-eyed boy ordered in a casual voice. He hummed happily. “Tanjiro, these are yummy.”

“Hey! You may be my superior, but you’re still three years younger than me. Don’t you go ordering me around.”

“Oh yeah?” The mist pillar hummed. “Which of us is the hashira again?”

“You little—!”

Genya was so bored. Him and Muichiro had been out here for an hour already picking flowers, and Muichiro still said he wanted to pick more. “Come on Genya! You have to carry these.” Muichiro pouted, shoving more flowers in the basket he was making Genya carry. Genya groaned.

“This is so stupid.” He muttered, plopping down and setting the basket beside him. Muichiro frowned and looked at him, offended. “Genya! I’m just trying to do something sweet.” 

Genya rolled his eyes. “Yeah, but it’s still stupid and boring. It’s been an hour!” Muichiro sat beside him and laid his head on Genya’s shoulder. “Baby….” He pouted, using his best puppy dog eyes on Genya. Unfortunately for him, Genya was way too used to this trick.

“No Mui.” Said hashira pouted, and switched to a different tactic he knew would work. “Genya~” Muichiro cooed, cuddling up to him. Genya sighed and put an arm around him, muttering something under his breath. Muichiro didn’t bother to hear him. 

Muichiro smiled sweetly and Genya knew something was up. Before he could ask, Muichiro was poking up and down his sides, pinching his stomach gently as well. “Tickle tickle baby~” Muichiro teased, giggling as Genya started squirming and chuckling.

“Wahahahait, Mui, nohohoho fair!!!” Genya whined through his giggling, feeling heat rise up his neck and spread across his cheeks. “Aw, you’re blushing!” Muichiro cheered, switching to scribbling across his sides. 

Genya yelped and giggled harder, shaking his head. “Mui nohohoho!!! Fihihihine, fihihine, I’ll heheh help with yohohohour stupid flowers still, just stahahahap!” Muichiro cheered and stopped, settling in beside Genya.

“We can take a break. I know it’s been long.” Muichiro murmured to him, cuddling up to Genya. The scarred boy sighed and smiled, cuddling him close. “Thanks, love.” Genya whispered, kissing the top of Muichiro’s head. Muichiro giggled and then tilted his head up, kissing Genya’s cheek. “Thank you for helping, baby.”
