important Thematic characterization for axelea to me is he represents change and accepting new circumstances and all that but only to saix. to roxas and xion, he’s their life at the organization, the good and the bad. he’s all they know. he’s their stability, their past. their kairi, if you will. the hand he extends to lead them through the first steps of life is the same one that holds them back with an iron grip when they try to leave. and the moment he becomes lea again all that talk about moving on from saix/isa goes right out the window now that he has hope that things might be able to go back to the way they used to be, so now his goal is to reconcile those parts of his past with his current life: he is axel and lea and he is somehow going to find and be with roxas xion AND saix AND isa. he’s axelea he can do whatever he wants. got it memori
