I'm down for all kinds of people tapping into their inner selves... But tamponself is just going too far. Way too far. Into the realm of 'you probably have a serious mental issue'.

Apparently you can have multiple people inside of your mind and one of them can be a tamponkin or fictionkin (where you think you are actually a fictional character from a tv show or anime or something trapped inside a human body), and the other ones can just be different personalities and in this twisted tumblrverse, believing that there are multiple people living inside of you is really special and awesome and not at all a cause for concern.

Okay seriously... SERIOUSLY... How does one self-diagnose cancer? I mean... I just... And wtf is tamponself? I'm a confused old person.
Here's a little dive into the more batshit crazy side of tumblr.
So there's this trend on tumblr where people take preferred pronouns and amp it to the next level. Instead of using "they/them/themself" or any other "typical" alternate pronouns, they use whatever word they want. For example, I've seen people use (with complete seriousness) kitself, purrself, sadself, basically everything.
This is usually called 'nounself' or sometimes mockingly called 'bunself' (and I've actually seen bunself pronouns used seriously).
Now, from what I've seen, nounself pronouns are used mostly by otherkins or genders that were made up on tumblr such as magigender or gyrogender or nan0gender. I'm not saying they're not valid, but they were created on tumblr.
As for tamponself... Though the user is most likely a troll, I have seen completely serious sanitary napkin-kins.Â
They think they were born tampons.
Let that sink in for a moment.
