Bourbons Bracket Matchup 31:
Wild Turkey Master’s Keep 17 Years vs. Michter’s
Song for the matchup: “No Excuses” by Thou
Nose:
Wild Turkey Master’s Keep 17 Years:
Brown sugar. Oak. Tiramisu. Espresso. Hardee’s California raisin biscuits. Cedar. Ethanol. Soft gardenia.
Michter’s:
Corn. Floral. Raw sugar. Clover honey. Rye.
Taste:
Wild Turkey Master’s Keep 17 Years:
Oak bomb. Nutmeg. Clove. Amaretto. Tart cherry muffins. Honey soaked. Kentucky chew: cinnamon, oak, cayenne pepper powder. Cherry pudding. Slight hint of Turkey yeast at end.
Michter’s:
Rye. Muted banana pudding with banana wafers. Diluted apple juice concentrate. Honeydew. Kentucky chew: rye. Glaze.
Feel / Finish:
Wild Turkey Master’s Keep 17 Years:
Medium. Some burn in mouth on hold. Oak. Hints of toffee. Oak. Tannic, but mouth retains some moisture. Gentle Kentucky hug. Tongue across gums and lips draws out cotton candy. Finish gets more tannic and drying after several sips. Kentucky chew: very tannic and drying... is my tongue and cheeks getting splinters? Mouth feels like I chewed some cherry Tums. Chalky, but cherry all over the chalk.
Michter’s:
Medium and sweet mouthfeel. No burn. No hug. Light finish. Like rye mouthwash. Kentucky chew: some funky vegetal yeast and a bit of sourdough bread. A bit of swampyness and dirty teeth after glass finished. A Kentucky chew makes this bourbon a bit rancid. Just sip it.

Villa Inn is infested with COCKROACHES
VILLA INN ON LOCUST STREET IN LAWRENCEBURG, TENNESSEE IS INVESTED WITH ROACHES. IM WRITING THIS ON FRIDAY, DECEMBER 8TH, 2017. The Villa Inn here won't give us our money back, give us a new room--despite the fact almost nobody is even here besides us--and they demand an additional $75 as a fee for us to be able to leave. We paid $75 dollars to be here, we have very limited income, and we're currently homeless. This is ridiculous and disgusting and entirely filthy.
