but yeah in season 3 there's marcus pierce/ cain as the new lieutenant as well as a sinnerman, a crime boss so obscure he's considered a myth. and it made me think... eclipse, so deeply hidden within the web of crime, actually working as the police departments chief. the only people who know and are opposing him (despite his so kind reminders how much easier and safer for them all things would be if only they fell in line) are his brothers, working right there under his thumb and struggling against it, and the vigilante, who now has renewed motivation to evade law enforcement (most of it, at least, and their favoritism drives eclipse up the wall)

thought its a fun twist to combine mob boss and police chief, so wanted to share - even deep in another hyperfixation your blorbos are on my mind 💜 hope you have a good day, have a hydration check!

OHHH! I've watched a few episodes of Lucifer but this?! AHH! I LOVE IT! Combining the Police Chief and Mob Boss is so sinister and brings a whole new level of stakes to the detectives and the vigilante! The power and control Eclipse would wield is frightening and encompassing, and everywhere the vigilante turns, Eclipse uses the law or the underground to get to them! Of course, he can't force them to appreciate him like they appreciate their two favorite detectives. Still, he has most opportunities to get the vigilante in handcuffs and thrown into a jail cell for a friendly interrogation, or rather, another chance to extend his offer to join him. They could be a police officer and have all the privileges in the city working directly underneath him. Wouldn't that be beneficial to everyone? They're right by the detectives, Eclipse keeps them close, and the vigilante no longer has to run from the law. Take the offer, sweetheart.

So hello everyone! I'm your host, Fandom, here today to bring you an edit featuring seven of my favorite users here 💞💞💞

As someone who's been a silent appreciator of the Tumblr DCA community since 2021, I've been loving the content made here from the blogs I could view without an account.

But now? Now I finally got my account made this year!! I can finally interact with the community since I couldn't get it up earlier due to personal reasons, but all that matters now is that I'm here :'D

As the headline suggests, this is only part one of my editing appreciation! I have more users to go through...

Who I've been perceiving since like. The BNHA fandom with their comics haha. They're really skilled in their art, fanfic writing AND cosplaying! So many mediums they're indulging in it's great :D

I love her art (the art style she draws in is so pretty like omg) and her CCRT fic!! (Also after seeing her blog can I just say YES YES FELLOW ONE PIECE *AND* MOB PSYCHO 100 ENJOYER??? LET'S GOOO she's definitely goated you guys.)

I teased this piece in an ask I sent her and like??? She's one of the most sweetest fanfic writers ever???

I've made content for her fics in the past with the help of my wonderful amazing talented beautiful bestie River, (aka @the-river-runs ) , to post them and her comments on them make my day. Got me ugly sobbing in the corner with her kindness.

Because yeah I just really felt like thanking you, for your fics but also your headcanons and depictions of the ut verses - I've been on and off about ut over the years, and never really created

much (mostly because of the 'ut is cringe' wave that came up when I was really into it) but you're just such an inspiration and I just love your blog so much, I basically use it as my personal ut and verses tag so I don't have to scroll past stuff I don't like in the actual tags. 

Which also leads me to your depiction of the swap verses in particular - they're just *chef's kiss*, I used to not like them at all because they were total swaps (so papyrus using shortcuts, being the older brother, making puns, and the reverse with sans) but your take on them is so nice, they're actually my favorites now.

Especially your swapfell - I, uh, kinda wrote 50K of a Mal x Reader Insert in a month because I kept getting frustrated there were no other fics like yours with your depictions. Cue the realization I can write that. (It's... not publishing material. The cringe mentality unfortunately still has its grasp on me, and the Reader is basically an idealized self-insert complete with my own issues, making half of the fic a vent fic. whoops. Plus, since it's your SF it feels just too close to DL regarding some headcanons, so it kinda feels like unintentional plagiarism at times.) But writing it has been so much fun, I keep going through what I wrote and I like the premise (Started as coffeeshop AU, got severely out of hand) so I keep going back to my own fic! And I wouldn't have gotten that without your inspiration, so!

I also (because now that I have recognized this power, I am unstoppable) have started a US fic now (probably also not going to publish) where I kind of explore the US underground, and here again I wanted to thank you for your headcanons because I just had a real big brain moment regarding your unfortunate plant killer Sky - what if that's his Spaghetti? It felt cheap to just make him a bad cook, too, but the black thumb is just such a good idea - gifting a (very sad, very dead) plant instead of a plate of indescribable taste spaghetti, Alphys and him trying some gardening that always tragically fails because neither of them know how much water to use or how to handle plants at all (weakly supported by UT Alphys having fake plants in the true lab) and the hangout with Alphys ending up flooding her house because she asked Undyne to engineer her water hose to just have incredibly high water pressure. It just fell into place once I remembered that one headcanon, and now I'm so hyped to write those scenes! 

So, bottom line/ tldr: I really really love your depictions of ut & verses characters, and it's gotten me out of a funk to write about them myself because that kind of motivation was a first for me, too, but it's so much fun! I know you're kind of inactive right now, so no pressure to post this or anything, I just wanted to let you know that you've inspired me to create on my own <3  (I also really really hope submissions don't get eaten. At some point tumblr has to acknowledge me)

You said in my pre-ending ask regarding Micheal that it depends on editing whether his fate will be revealed, and I'm assuming there are some memories Glitchtrap could have shown Y/N in that regard? (Or if I have missed it amongst my screaming please feel free to just point me towards the relevant bit). But yeah I slide back in here to sate my curiosity and also just. How long was he hunting Glitchtrap, was he involved in trapping him in the run down endo that Vanessa then stumbles upon, how is/ was he involved in everything Cryptid Sightings? Please tell me everything I am twirling my hair and kicking my legs (as you can see) <3

The idea was originally that Michael was going to make an appearance in the epilogue at the campfire that Y/N and Eclipse were dancing around—it's a spook for everyone as the boys could hardly detect his heartbeat from how calm he was (and being engrossed with a very lovely dance partner) and you feared F.E.I. already sent another cryptid hunter after your sweetie. Michael, however, is just dropping in to ask about Vanessa. Or rather, Vanny.

Michael is a rugged, grizzle cryptid hunter. His one and only focus has been on destroying Glitchtrap to avenge his slain siblings. He's been trialing Glitchtrap since before he attacked you and long afterward, but he lost Glitchtrap for a time when F.E.I. had caught him in an endoskeleton and shoved him into the lower levels of the pizzaplex. After that, Michael caught wind of Vanny and tried hunting her down, but Glitchtrap kept moving so quickly and disappearing just as fast.

Finally, Michael gets to hear your end of the tale, how you and Eclipse defeated the child-killer cryptid. Michael is somber, and you almost feel bad for taking a kill he clearly wanted, but you remind Michael about the night he saved you. He remembers you, he remembers all of Glitchtrap's would-be victims and those he was too late to save.

Michael is aware of child-friendly cryptids (he met Henry Emily about the time he first started hunting) and regards Eclipse calmly. Although Michael has no personal connection with Eclipse, they're very civil towards each other. Eclipse wants to know how Michael was able to sneak up on them like that, and Michael explains how he's trained himself to stay calm and not let his heartbeat rise so as to not alert Glitchtrap to his presence. It took a long time to master. Eclipse is begrudgingly impressed but also intrigued to meet the one who save you from your first encounter with Glitchtrap.

You get to thank him again for saving you. He simply nods his head, glad to see that you're doing well for yourself. He leaves after that and the night is a bit warmer for it all.

"Can you please button up your shirt" "Why don't you come over here and do it yourself ~" "Nevermind" meanwhile metaphorically, whichever mob boss is just heavily sweating at nearly being caught

I guess I just like my smooth men with a pinch of pathetic and having them cry at trying and failing to button their shirts is too funny to me

Hiiii Naff I come with Lost Episode thoughts <3 Because, with Glitchtrap already taken care of, the "ending" for their little timeline is so so open, and I wonder about Y/N and Vanessa's friendship. Do they have any chance of a happy ending? Will Vanessa ever overcome her own bias and realize that her friend is the vampire? How would that affect her hunt? Would she ever abandon it, as a last favor for a friend, or for her own sake, as Y/N advises? Would she ever want to communicate with Y/N, just as friends, or would her morals and the knowledge that even if it is Y/N, they now consume human blood to survive, keep her from ever wanting that kind of contact with Y/N? How would it affect her, getting older while knowing Y/N will outlive her as an undead if she abandons her hunt? How would Y/N treat her aging friend if Vanessa insists on hunting them until either of them dies? How would that change if Vanessa did treat them as a friend?

This are. so many questions oh my god gfhdjs tldr: I am insane about the Lost Episode. Please monologue as much as you want I want to hear it all

Heya, babe! *cracks knuckles* Monologuing begins now!

Vanessa, unfortunately, has an even more negative view of cryptids no thanks to Glitchtrap and all that she suffered, and in this AU, she suffers all of that alone. There's no Y/N to help her process and begin recovering from a boatload of trauma. Additionally, Vanessa holds guilt for not being there to save Y/N from the vampire bite or helping them pass away peacefully after the fact. She's not handling Y/N's vampirism well, to say the least.

A happy ending in an already angsty timeline isn't possible. As much as I'd love to say that Y/N and Vanessa reconcile and figure it out, that's not possible within the circumstances. Y/N struggles with their own blood drinking and Vanessa wouldn't give Y/N a chance to freely talk about their decision to not end themselves like any hunter should do.

For a long time, it's just text messages back and forth, maybe a phone call if Eclipse thinks it's safe for them. Y/N can't be close to Vanessa with their own lack of control, but they want to stay in contact and this eases that longing somewhat.

At best, Vanessa and Y/N get trapped in some place and are forced to talk it out. Vanessa can hear out Y/N, but ultimately, Vanessa cannot grasp why Y/N would choose to continue to be a monster, especially after all of the cryptids they've hunted. Vanessa would think even less of Y/N now that she sees that it's still them, in a way. She would be disappointed and revolted.

Y/N would be devastated. It hurts so much, but all Y/N can get Vanessa to agree to is leaving them, and Eclipse, be. Their track record shows that they've only killed people who have harmed children. Vanessa doesn't like it, but Vanessa is tired. She can't look at Y/N's red eyes and fangs anymore.
