much discussion about people who are fucked over by capitalism's rigid schedules due to not naturally waking up early. i would like to add to this conversation those of us who are hard-wired for a siesta. i need my little afternoon naps or i'm fucked
one thing that disturbed us in our medical assisting education was how shockingly common (even encouraged by instructors) the idea is the idea that healthcare professionals should all be paragons of good health and "healthy" habits, as if that doesn't display an concerning disregard for bodily autonomy as well as a contempt for patients hidden within the idea that healthcare workers must be "virtuous" and therefore guide patients into this same "virtue", and most importantly as if this doesn't obviously contribute to the stigma against disabled people working in healthcare
love playing shows. hate scheduling shows. the scheduling process is simultaneously deeply uninteresting to us and highly anxiety inducing.
