What Lavanya admires in Khushi is that sheโs able to speak her mind and yell at Arnav if she wants something.
Thereโs something key here-
For Lavanya, Arnav being upset bothers her - cause ofc, theyโre in a relationship.
For Khushi, she knows Arnav dislikes her so she has nothing to preserve and is able to unleash her anger on him whenever she wants.
For Khushi she doesnโt, ever, operate from a ground that Arnav likes her or that she needs to be likeable because itโs been hammered enough that he positively detests everything about her.
For Lavanya thatโs not the case. She knows Arnav likes her.
And Lavanyaโs insecurities is because of Arnav to be honest. Arnav keeps both - Lavanya and Khushi in the dark as to where their relationships are.
He has no difficulty clearing things in the beginning.
That is its easy to tell lavanya what he thinks of the relationship and where it is meant to be in the beginning. But then asking your girlfriend to move in with you communicates something else.
But Arnav has also stated really clearly that his words mean the most so his actions shouldnโt be considered.
Which is very confusing for someone else because Arnav expects his actions should make a point too?
And Arnav behaves IDENTICALLY with Khushi. In words he hasnโt really ever communicated to her that he likes her.
So Khushi knows what she hears. He dislikes her.
(Yet khushi is optimistic in nature so she always hopes in general that people have a better opinion of her)
And she almost starts to get a hang of things that Arnavโs actions matter more. Until Diwali - which throws her off.
So this is just a random thought I had.
Which is also why, I, personally love their whole conversation pre sex.
