Just got done watching Surviving Earth Episode 2 - "When the Climate Broke"
It was pretty Neat 😄
My favorite animals featured were (in order): 1. Ischigualastia 2. Chaliminia 3. Hyperodapedon 4. Zupaysaurus
This is the second time The Carnian Pluvial Episode has been featured in PaleoMedia in recent times, the first being The Dinosaurs (Netflix Series).
The Droughts featured in this episode really reminded of the Droughts were currently having in Florida and Much of the United States and other parts of the world Thanks to Climate Change, Environmental Destruction, and A.I Datacenters.
Personally, I don't think it's really realistic for an animal as big and successful as Ischigualastia to be reliant on 1 species of plant. Although I can understand why Impossible Pictures made the choice to portray them that way considering the themes of the episode (and the series as a whole) and the fact there's likely real life analogs I'm not currently aware of or just can't think of while typing this.
Just like the Elph in the previous episode, the Hyperodapedon's behavior reminds me of Prairie Dogs.
I'm kinda disappointed with the modern day/ending section. It just didn't have as much to say compared to the previous episode. At least in my opinion.
Overall, i give this episode a 8/10. Still recommend checking it out.
Once again, I wanna thank Tim Haines and Impossible Pictures for creating this Beautiful series.
