Trigger warnings for cancer and implied child death.
“Where does it end?” The little girl asks. Her mom smiles as she looks up at the setting sun with her, “Where does it go to bed?”
“What do you think?”
She thinks about it, her little face scrunched up. “God has a bed for it. He tucks it in each night and wakes it up each morning when he puts the moon to bed.”
“No covers though.” The mom holds her daughter in the backyard. They sit on a blanket looking up.
“Oh no. The sun wouldn't need one. I think the moon might though. It seems cold.”
“I agree, it would.”
“Seriously Mommy, where does it go?”
The woman sighs, wishing there was more time, time for her to believe in what her imagination tells her, and not have to have so many bald facts.
“When we can't see the sun, the people on the other side of the world can. When it is daytime here, it is nighttime there.”
“The sun still shines, even when we can't see it?”
“It does.” she adjusts the bandana over her child ‘s bald head, not wishing her to be chilled. Not that it matters much now.
“Good. I am glad. Cause that means even when you can't see me, I will be there, on the other side.”
Her mommy fights back her tears. This last night will be grief free, for her.
“Just so baby.”
“Shining brightly in heaven.” She sighs out as her strength wanes.
“Resting in God's arms like you do mine now.” She whispers.
They watch the sun set for the last time.

Justice will not come to Athens until those who are not injured are as indignant as those who are injured.” – Thucydides
Intriguing visual parallels between Harrow and Ezran (S1E3 and S3E4, respectively), both times accompanied by the beautiful “Last Sunset” from Frederik Wiedmann.
