Amarante, Louredo, Largo do Estremadouro
My phantom is creeping into my mind yet again. I WISH TO SLEEP WITHOUT PLEASING YOUR IDEA OF LOVE!!!! 🎶
Damnit I sang my thoughts again.
I'm so grateful. No more shall I wonder where my children are, no more shall I worry about their sweet little lives.
. . .
Grrruh. When should I break the news to statik? It's not like I can just bring them to his ... Maybe I can . . .
I love that Largo's a female dog and she has such a basic cartoon dog design. She looks like Pluto with Droopy's perpetual droopy-eyed face. No bows, no eyelashes, but also, not a very realistic dog design, she's toony, but without bows and lashes or any other typical cartoony markers of femininity. She could easily be a boy dog, but nope, girl.
Pinoko tries to pretty her up for a dog show once, but that's basically the only time Largo wears bows.
She's even more of a ratty looking mutt in the manga, but she sadly isn't saved at the end... I love this ugly, comically lazy dog. Black Jack is so awful to her in the manga though, which makes her end even more heartbreaking...

Inspired by the end of The Dog Thief, a what-you-didn't-see type of comic, showing Pinoko trying to convince Largo to help her win the lottery... I drew this back in medical school. Clearly, I did not have Largo's design memorized, but I do love that dog.
Love, where are our children? I miss them. . .
"Safe."
