Found the writeup of a System for Describing Extremely Large Numbers my grandfather designed a while back. The math is fascinating, and I don't understand half of even the first few pages.
It goes on for hundreds of pages. I feel like there's something I should be doing with it but I'm not sure what.
He begins with a putdown of someone else's System for Describing Extremely Large Numbers, and seems to have given various concepts or processes silly names.
I'm thinking I'll email the guy he's putting down to see if my grandfather ever actually got in contact with him or just printed out his challenge and kept it on the front of his binder o' weird math for years, which sounds like something he'd do tbh.
In the long run I'll try to contact a mathematician somehow, or maybe reorganize it a bit and see if I can find someone interested in making this thing into a book, because this seems like the sort of thing you need to do something about instead of just keeping it on a shelf somewhere. If anyone reading this has any suggestions for what to do with ~300 pages of absurd theoretical math with silly names, please tell me, I'm open to suggestions (genuine).
