indirect verbs is used to express the action happening to someone. some verbs are naturally indirect, but in most cases its a different way of writing a sentense.
object pronouns + verb + indirect object + direct object
indirect verb examples:
agradar (to be pleasing to)
convenir (to suit, be convenient to)
doler (pain, hurt)
encantar (to charm someone)
importar (to matter to)
parecer (to appear to be)
quedar (to be left over)
lets put it together:
me gustan las fiestas
le doy el libro a Juan
le escribe una carta a Maria
yo le compro flores a el
me duelen los musculos
no me importa el examen
in any case i wont remember the specific verbs but trusting that I would read and listen enough to know which verbs use this structure

I do love that I regularly forget how to spell 'at give' in danish even tho it's the same as English because I hear it pronounced as gi' or gi'r so much that I legitimately forget the proper way to pronounce it 😭

it's been a while since my last update, i went through a lot in the past days (mentally and physically) but maybe now i'm back on track 할 수 있어!
things i've done today:
skincare routine (i found new products and i'm thrilled to use them)🧚♀️
squats, cyclette and legs 30 min, I gained weight in the last month so I would like to excercise more and find a new workout (i'm trying to always use the stairs and take a walk almost every day even if it's feeezing outside)🏃♀️
tidied my room and vacuum cleaned the house🧹
i'm staying with my family in these days and i'm studying for my finals at my grandma's (it's more quiet and she makes lots of delicious food but I try not to eat too much)🍝👵
studied and revised lots of topics for my infectious diseases exam (the date was postponed so i got one more week to study)🦠
completed a unit for korean duolingo and practiced with idol and social media content, in the past days i also used hellotalk and talked with few korean native learners, it's such a good way to practice my skills and they're super chill! oh and i think i'll start a korean course online once my finals will end🇰🇷
i practiced japanese with renshuu and a video by tanaka san🇯🇵
i started to use daily haloha, a cute app with prompts for writing and thinking💌
i found an awesome outfit for new year's eve👗🍾
i talked with some friends and promised to see each other during the christmas holidays🌲
tonight i didn't sleep very well because of several thoughts and the noise of the wind against my window. despite all that
i've done my morning simple skincare🧚♀️
i've eaten my not so big breakfast (just some water and cookies because yesterday i ate to a sushi all you can eat bar and i was so full)🍪🍣
i've changed my bed🛏
study achievements
i'm studying INFECTIVE DISEASES and even if the exam is in december i have to work hard because i've been procrastinating it for too long (also this is one of the causes of my struggle). 2 new diseases studied and im planning to revise another one this evening with my friend by videocall🦠
i started to study KOREAN in april i've been using a different method recently: watch a short clip (4/5 min) of a content i like, listen to it, transcribe it and underline all the new vocabulary and grammar points i find. the last clip i saw is from Wonwoo and Minghao' s vlog in Budapest, i understood almost everything without subtitles and i've learned -다고 해서, -기로 하다, -(으)러 가다/오다/다니다 so far 🇰🇷💎
in september i've started learning JAPANESE. at the moment i'm focusing on the minna no nihongo lessons by nihongoal on youtube, but today i only practiced with apps such as duolingo (just for the strike) and renshuu, one of my favorite apps to retain vocab and kanji. 🇯🇵
i started CHINESE just recently and for now my main and only source is the Superchinese app to learn the basics for free (I will looking for some yt channels once the free content will be over. today I learned 几 and 呢 with some basic dialogues about dates and stuff 🇨🇳
Regardless of whether you're learning for fun, to boost your career, to get in touch with your culture, or for travel, you'll definitely need a language partner at some point, mainly for speaking practise.
You can repeat the same textbook dialogue all you want, but unless you actually practise what you learn with someone else, whether it's a native speaker, your grandmother or your classmate, achieving a near perfect or fluent level will be really difficult.
Here are my top suggestions for finding a language partner!
1. Your local language Institute
The German Geothe Institute, or the Mandarin Confucius Institute or any other Centre - they all usually hold mixers and get-to-knows, so attending one of their events is a great way of meeting fellow language learners and native speakers, who you can study with, and become friends with.
You don't necessarily need to be a member or a student of these organizations, but its always a good idea to check as different countries and regions may have their own specifications.
2. Use apps
Tandem, HelloTalk etc. Pretty decent way of meeting native speakers who want to learn your language, so it works out quite well.
The downside is that online platforms can be full of creepy people that will often derail the conversation into something unexpectedly inappropriate , so stay safe out there.
3. Your university or school clubs
Many unis have language or cultural clubs, so ask around to see if there's a club out there for your target learning language. You can learn quite a lot, and not just the language, but also about recepies, lesser known customs etc. Quite an amazing option, so try it out.
If not, chances are there might be a group in your city, so check out the Facebook groups. There's probably something out there.
4. Friend of a friend of a friend chain
That's the beauty of connections. Your friends cousin might be friends with a native speaker of the language you're learning, who's studying in the same city as you are.
Don't be afraid to reach out, or to ask your friend to pass along your request. If it doesn't work out, then hey. There are always going to be opportunities, so don't stress it.
