Random Spanish Vocab 1
This is vocab I gathered from an online news article.
Please keep in mind, I’m a beginner at collecting vocab like this so there is bound to be errors! Don’t be afraid to correct me!
Also, I’m at a somewhat early level of Spanish learning (A2 maybe?), with mostly self studying techniques, so what I know and don’t know is a little random.
crecer - to grow, develop
danés - Danish
desarrollo - development
Ocupa - squatter
vecinos - neighbors
Barrio - neighborhood
lejos - far away
seguir - to follow
grúa - crane, tow truck
contar - to count
movilidad - mobility
puesto - position, job
August NVA Challenge Day 12
N: game V: to want A: scary
N: بازی V: خواستن A: ترسناک N: bāzi V: khāstan A: tarsnāk They wanted to play this really scary game. .انها می خواستند این بازی خیلی ترسناک را بازی کنند (ānhā mi khāstand in bāzi kheyli tarsnāk rā bāzi konand.) please add corrections or suggestions!
this is not a genius novel idea, but i thought i would share anyway. something i’ve been doing recetly is that sometimes while doing something i will think ‘hmmm, i actually have no idea how i would describe what i am doing in spanish/german/whatever language you are learning’ - so i write it down and later translate it and add it to by vocab lists. it’s usually something i’m doing (today i was cleaning my room and realised i didn’t know how to say ‘to mop’ in spanish, or there was this guy in the library sighing really loudly and i had no idea how to say ‘sigh’) or when i have a random thought (like today i added the word for ‘shopping trolley’ to the spanish vocab list). so, be mindful about what you are doing and think how you would say it in your target language - this is how you fill the gaps you don’t even know you have.

Penpal gesucht
Working on some Kanji
Wooooooo achievement unlocked! 365 days of this streak is French and 135 days is Spanish. I’m looking forward to the next 500 days of Spanish to come! Hopefully I’ll have completed the course by then, but this is a marathon, not a sprint. I’ve already learnt so much more in 135 days than I thought I would (thanks lockdown), but hitting these little milestones just pushes me to keep going.
i’m not gonna let no green owl gonna get the best of me
