It’s that time of the year again when everyone is trying to decide what #college to go to. If you live outside the US and plan on studying here, this process is probably the most annoying one. Let’s help you out a little by telling you what you should expect.
As a student, you’re bound to have to send your documents to the school you plan on going to. As a translation agency, we’re going to tell you right now that if your documents are in another language, the school will NOT accept them YET.
Most colleges require that your documents are in the country’s national language, in other words English for US schools. However, these translations aren’t just simple translations that you can do even if you know the language well. Schools will require your translations be certified so unless you’re a certified translator, you’re wasting your time.
What’s a certified translation? It’s proof that the one translating the document has gone through proper training to translate. These are professional translations that guarantee 100% accuracy.
So what are you waiting for? If you know you’re going to study in the US and your birth certificate/transcript/diploma/etc is not in English, get it translated now so you don’t have to panic when you’re here.
Don’t know where to find a certified translator? Already at the America and found out too late? Don’t know exactly which transcript/diploma/etc the school wants from you? We’ll be happy to help you through this process as we’ve done many of them. Contact us if you need help and good luck!
