I hear it's got a pretty awesome Heretic & Wanderer short, and it ALSO has a TAVRA/ONICA one I worked on with J. M. Lee! SOOO EXCITED to finally reveal this.

It's been a dream project for ages. I put everything I could into these drawings, trying to do justice to Joe's lovely script. And Ángel brought all the scenes to life with gorgeous color.

First day finished for the Dark Crystal age of resistance anniversary. For the day of "Creatures of thra", I drew my fav creatures, the landstriders and fizzgigs. Hope ya like!

Kira, monologuing outloud: Because of her mysterious behavior, I have decided to name her Mystery.

Kira: Hm, now that I think about it she's also very graceful and majestic.

Kira: Perhaps I should name her Grace, or Majesty...

This week had proven to be a big burn out week thanks to my job. (I won’t get into it because it’s been a lot of things bunched up into one) So I did some quick IG questions. Here are the ones that were related to all my Stonewood and Stonesan answers, featuring Azra!

Thankfully the Starbucks in Barnes and Nobles was open so I was able to do a super sketchy sketch of Maeve and Bhihaar enjoying a little romantic ride. In her youth Maeve was a rascal and one of her dates with Bhihaar involved them sneaking to the Castle Guard stables and stealing a Landstrider for the night. If you’ve seen the “Lion King 2” the scene where Kiara and Kovu help scare the birds for Timon and Pumbaa, that is them. Maeve being super into it and Bhihaar being a bit awkward at first before fully having fun.

Azra is one tough little lady but don’t approach her with a Landstrider. She’s terrified of the idea of getting squashed; one reason why you’ll never find her on a ship (she doesn’t like cramped spaces) and just the sight of a lone Landstrider gets her heart racing. Only Gelfling super close to Azra know about that tidbit and the first one is her soul sister. If you want to be on Azra’s good side, never surprise her with Landstriders.

Tore has quickly become such an interesting character and believe me I have a bunch of questions to answer about him. I can’t wait for everyone to see what’s cookin’ with Tore! Back to the IG story. When Tore isn’t being a skirt chaser he can be pretty fun. He balances goofing around and seriousness at the castle guard really well. It’s a dream of his to be a Captain and he wants to make his parents proud (I believe his family puts a lot of pressure on him since he’s at the Castle).

And finally Fleur! She hates tithes. I could imagine she’s told her tithes aren’t good enough sometimes, and because she forgets she’ll look like the anime trope of a character running out the house with toast in their mouth lol Prior to the resistance she’s very indifferent to the Skeksis but does not like the General at all and she admires the Ornamentalist.
