I keep being plagued by what I can only refer to as a Depressed Ilya Thought probably originating during Landrygate era which is that if Shane and Rose had a son he could play his father in a biopic because he would inherit Rose's acting skills and Shane's looks
It also means that said biopic would probably have to make reference to the Hollander-Rozanov rivalry but in this timeline there is no way Hollanov's relationship would have become known which implies a retelling of Shane's life, of his hockey career, which doesn't mention their romance which feels so wrong, so fake, so devoid of what makes it true... It's heartbreaking
Ilya's morning routine during Landrygate was:

- google "shane hollander rose landry"
- scroll tabloid headlines
- open instagram
- do a special prayer in his mind that Shane has not posted Rose on his grid
- check Shane's page
- check Rose's page
- open twitter
- Lilytweet various variations of "All men do is lie" / *insert sad song lyrics* / "I bet she doesn't hold your chin while you kiss" / "Whatever I don't even care I don't care I am fine I don't careeeee" / "Does she buy your favourite ginger ale?"

every time anyone around him mentioned it (because everyone's a huge gossip) he'd open up twitter again just to scream about how it should have been him
