RR20 Hvøsch - Thornsmoat

Formed in Russia in 2013, Hvøsch is a vegan five-piece band from Saint Petersburg that combines elements of doom, post-metal, and black metal to create an endangered atmosphere in order to impart their narrative. The band intertwines ambient instrumental passages with invasive blast beats and unwavering vocals to advocate for atheism and animal rights.

RR21 Autarch / Landbridge Split

Formed in North Carolina in 2010, Autarch is a four-piece band from Asheville that combines elements of hardcore, crust, and post-metal to defy the limitations and expand the boundaries of each genre in order to forge their own path forward. From the unrelenting drums and enduring melodies to the undying screams of three different vocalists, the band evokes a palpable sense of urgency in order to contest the choices mankind has made in both the past and the present that pose a grave threat to our future.

Formed in Florida in 2011, Landbridge is a three-piece band from Tampa that combines elements of crust, d-beat, and hardcore to create an onslaught of foreboding compositions. The band's ominous lyrics and lowering overtures strike an apocalyptic chord in order to provide great pause and demand the liberation of both animals and the earth.

Formed in Oregon in 2013, Sól is a five-piece band from Portland that combines elements of post-rock, post-metal, and doom to create an atmospheric calm and a brooding heaviness that explores the beauty and the fear of the natural world. The band reinforces their narrative with a sound that reflects the dense and expansive landscape of the Pacific Northwest.

The Office of Transport and Traffic Policy and Planning (OTP) of Thailand has just approved their Land Bridge Project that will connect the opposite Shores of their Country.

This Critical Infrastructure will connect the Andaman Sea in the West and the Gulf of Thailand in the East, thus bypassing the need for Goods to pass through the Singapore Strait and thus saving a lot of Time and Money.

Initially the Plan was to do the connection thru a Canal, but ultimately Thailand decided on a Land Bridge instead. The Bridge will be composed of two Ports on each Side that will be connected by an 89 km Transport System which in turn will consist of a six-lane Highway and a Train System.

This is less efficient than a Canal, but will cost less and take less time to build. Construction is set to start next Year in 2026, and will cost around Usd 31 billion. It is estimated to have a 17% return on Investment and generate 280,000 Jobs.

MY THOUGHTS: You have to hand it to these Buddhists (Thailand is around 90% Buddhists), they really know how to get Things done to improve the Lives of their People. No wonder why Thailand is so very far ahead of us now.

They already have so many major Infrastructure Projects, they have been extending their Train Lines almost non-stop in the last Decade and have completed a Coastal Highway on (I think) their Eastern Coast. And yet they still continue to more and more major Infra Projects.

Meanwhile us here in the Majority Christian Philippines are currently drowning in Floods of Corruption related to Flood Control Projects worth more than a trillion Pesos under the Administration of Bong Bong Marcos (BBM).

Moralizing, overly Religious Filipinos will say that Thailand is an Immoral and Disorderly Country because of the Prostitution and rowdy Foreigners there, but as long as Prostitution is voluntary and it is not White Slavery then it shouldn’t be a Problem.

As for the disorderly Foreigners, that makes up only a small percentage of Foreigners, a vast Majority are orderly and bring a lot of Money into their Country. And again, if it is such a bad Place, why are there much less Poor People there, and why do their Citizens have a much better Quality of Life than ours?
