I mean, I try to convince myself that older unicorns like Landa lived more isolated from the younger ones... And she didn't want to see Onchao because she's already met him before... Although it seems a little strange and cold anyway... I try to think that maybe unicorns see family ties in a simpler way, not as complex as ours. That's why Lyria and Onchao didn't seem hurt that they weren't invited to go too.

Or was it just a weird choice to try to develop Kyara... I think a family gathering would have been nice, even if Kyara was the center of her grandma's attention.
