Starting Artfight with my favourite sword lesbian (who belongs to Lambeth)!! She's a (revenant) kalashtar rogue/warlock. I wanted to do a big piece first and I'm so happy with how it came out~

it's been a few rough sessions man...centi has seen some shit
-thought her deva & bestie died
-almost got microchipped & mind controlled, lost a friend to that
-found out her dad has a throne made of all her +5000 dead siblings
-saw a room full of torn apart celestials

Starting artfight with @/lambeth's Laestis, because getting to be someone's first attack is always exciting!! We love an increasingly more unhinged sword lesbian in this house~ (she's an undead kalashtar warlock/rogue!!)
4 for the artist ask game
piece you wish got more love?
If I have to be honest, most of the art I've done of Laestis! I love her dearly but she's just never been a well-performing character. I'm hijacking this ask now to make it into a Laestis-love zone. Reblog if you too appreciate doomed sword sapphics who may also be undead and losing their humanity as we speak-
She had been mortally wounded. And probably, no one expected the warlock to live for another day. But her patron refused to give up: Her badly injured body could still be saved, they could still fix this up. Hastily and with a lack of understanding on how mortal bodies work, they tried to patch things up, infusing her body with their own essence. Crystal corruption grew rampant and took over parts of the body, even growing a single wing in the process. And she was back. Wrong, deeply wrong, but she was back. Death would have deep consequences for Laestis, but here she was- still on this world. Still her. Mostly.
Hello! Long time no Lae! I wanted to draw her updated look SO bad. She's now got partially fused with her patron/quori (since she's a kalashtar) and is the living embodiment of "came back wrong". It's fine, though, she's got a crystal horn- What's not to love?
(She's the warlock/rogue kalashtar in my campaign! Now a reborn... partially fused with a tiefling? this is getting hard)

My favourite flavour of warlock is that one that is deeply changed by their bond with the unnatural, shapen into an hybrid form- In her case, twisted crystals replacing flesh and a lone wing, as a reminder of a pact she's never coming back from~
(I was kinda nostalgic towards Laestis' classic look so I drew her again! She's my partner's rogue/warlock kalashtar. Now also undead)
When you're a well-meaning warlock but your patron has a different alignement-
I just think warlock and patron dynamics can be super funny at times- (Specially when said patron arrived there uninvited)
A sword forged in crystal, with the uncanny ability of fixing itself upon break and the ability to reform into a plethora of shapes. However, those who dare handle it will face the meddling of a watcher, a crystalline undead creature. Said being has seen the weapon pass countless of times as inheritance, and had never managed to get in proper touch with any of them. Most discarded their voice as hallucinations, or early signs of dementia. That was up until the last of the heirs got her hands on it: She saw the spirit trapped into the sword as it was, and made a pact with them, seeking their help in exchange for their eventual freedom. Neither of the two expected a deep friendship to come from such deal, though.
So, I’m going to be partaking in Swordtember! Kinda! I’ll probably just do a few as inspiration comes. For the first prompt, I decided it was time to polish the design for my partner’s roguelock sword, Ilthar'Anyeld. Cursed swords definitely benefit from curious adventurers, making Hexblades proliferate comfortably~
