Meet KYN!

(pronounced kin)

They are an R&B group out of San Myshuno I made for @ladybugsimblr for her birthday. (HAPPY BIRTHDAY FRIIIEEEENNNND!!!) KYN began as a boy band, but now they are around Melany's age and are in their grown era and released their new album call After Hours. I hope the fans are ready!

The name came about because of the closeness they share and quick friendships that stemmed from random meetings at open mic nights in their youth. Friends are the family you choose, so they chose a cooler spelling of kin. They call their fans KYNfolk. Let's meet the fellas shall we?

Real name: Alistair Coleman

He is the leader vocalist and fearless leader of the group. Not because they voted, but because he just exudes that kind of energy. He keeps things going smoothly. Singing was his plan A. He never had a plan B.

Something fans may not know: he loves crossword puzzles and reads biographies on the tour bus.

Real name: Jelani Brooks

You could also call him "the quiet one." This dude lives and breathes dance. He's always the first to rehearsal and the last to leave. Many fans misunderstand him and think he's arrogant. He's just focused.

Something fans may not know: he watches cooking shows religiously but can't actually cook.

Real name: Amillion Greene

(prounounced a-MILLY-ahn, NOT a-million)

Milly comes from a very creative family. Growing up, artists, musicians, and celebrities were in and out of his home. It's no wonder he has no fear and will speak to literally anyone. Fame and careers like acting and singing were normal to him. He talks too much and is always flirting with someone. For all the anxiety he gives everyone—especially Al—the group would fall apart without him. He is the social glue. I'd be willing to bet there are hundreds of reaction memes out there of him from all the faces he makes during interviews. He also goes by Milly and never uses his real name. Fans probably don't even know what it's short for.

Something fans may not know: he has an embarrassingly extensive fragrance collection and always smells incredible.

Real name: Kai Monroe

Kai is the strongest writer of the group and also makes many of their beats. He's been making beats and dabbling in music since childhood due to his older cousin, B-Side Honey, recognizing an interest and budding talent at a young age. She is one of the best producers in the business. Kai is always experimenting with their sound which is probably why they sound current and not like the boy band they used to be. He's not flashy and would much rather be in the studio, but he is committed to the group and their KYNfolk.

Something fans may not know: he collects vintage synthesizers and cassette players because his cousin got him hooked on analog gear as a kid.

As Dub enters the lobby, he tries not to think too hard about why his date, Kalani, would want to meet here. On the phone, she said she’s always wanted to visit Champs Les Sims, so that explains why she chose the attached French bistro. Dub decides it’s safer to take her at her word without reading too much into it. Still, he can’t rule out the possibility of them getting a room and staying the night.

He steps inside the bistro and immediately spots Kalani sitting off to the side. He’s already a little late, so he quickens his pace. As he crosses the room, their eyes meet, and a slow warmth spreads through him, pulling him back to the moment he first saw her on the “Blow Out the Candle or Find Love” ** SimTube show. His mouth widens into a smile that matches hers.

He's worn glasses for nearly 50 years, and has never bothered with contacts. Glasses gave him something to hide behind as a shy young man on the international diplomacy circuit, and he was later advised that small, round glasses had become his signature.

He's referenced his estranged sister, Olivia, a few times, but so far, we've only seen her in flashbacks -- she'll show up in the present in the near-ish future.

His relationship with Elise was serious from the beginning. In their engagement interview, he famously said that he'd made up his mind to marry her on their second date.

In his younger years, he was a distance runner. He became the first royal to run the famous Brüda Marathon in April 1993, finishing in a respectable three hours and fifty-two minutes. He is the royal patron of the Brüda Athletic Association, which hosts the marathon, and passing out medals to the winners is one of the few annual engagements he seems to enjoy.
