The Labyrinth fandom after the Robert Eggers news
I paid 60 silly dollars for a photo editing app, so bog damn it all if Iām not going to utilize it as much as possible. Trouble is that there arenāt a lot of HD stills of Labyrinth, but thatās alright. Livinā the dream folks.
Get to know me Labyrinth Edition
Hello Labyrinth fandom! There's a marvel version of this going around on tiktok/instagram, I thought why not do a Labyrinth one, with a few bonus questions of course!
So tell me...
What about the movie made you fall in love with it?
(I really don't have an answer for this one...something about the movie just resonates with my soul)
An underrated character
(For me its the door knockers!)
Your favorite quote
("Your eyes can be so cruel, just as I can be so cruel.")
Your favorite musical number (scores too)
(I love the "13 O'clock" score)
A character outfit you'd most definitely steal
(For sure the outfit in the gif above!)
Something from Sarah's room you'd steal
(Her didymus plushie!)
And name a movie/tv show crossover you think would be interesting
(Either Princess Bride or The Last Unicorn)
Tagging (and anyone else who'd like to participate!):

āello, friends! this is a fan blog for the 1986 film labyrinth, which has been an obsession of mine for the longest time. i mostly share fan content like fanworks, analysis, art, OCs, headcanons and whatnot; iām very much a transformative fan, but i still love the source material and everything it has to offer. i learned recently that there is quite a bit to explore within the labyrinth universe, so iām on a journey to learn as much as i can. if youāre along for the ride, i cherish you and i thank you!!

Letās talk about Labyrinth and the meaning behind it because people like to ruin everything.
Letās start with a question, as an angst teen drama queen did you never make up scenarios in your head? an adventure in space or in a fantasy world that you created yourself, or one from a film. A situation to be with a made up hero/ love interest, or a self insert into a movie/ show/ book so you could be with your favourite character or to simple just be in a world you love and find fascinating? because fantasy is sometimes way better than our reality.Ā

Is this thing on?
Iāve been diving back into fandom lately. Specifically Labyrinth fan fiction. Iāve beenĀ āgoneā from it now for over ten years and itās interesting to see what has built up, in the meantime. I suppose Iām one of the old women of the fandom now, remembering the old days when DanseMacabre and ScatteredLogic and KLMorgan were the queens of Labyrinth fanfic. Back when Pika was only just starting to sketch out her first few Girls Next Door comics. Back before gender confused Goblins and theĀ āchicken revolutionā was just a crazy idea in Lixxleās head. Iāve been lucky, over the years, to get to know so many of these amazing women, to be part of the unofficial Goblin Court, as it were.Ā Of course, many of us wandered off and did other things. I went on to write Buffy and Once Upon a Time fan fiction, which Iām probably better known for than my Labyrinth fics, even though thatās where I started. And then for a little while I tried my hand at some original stuff, which is still under development, but not quite ready to see the light of day.
But, as we say in the Labyrinth fandom: sometimes the way forward is the way back. As always, when Iām feeling a little lost in life, I turn back to Labyrinth. Itās my lodestone in all of my creative endeavors, and even though we now live in a world without David Bowie (donāt get me started), I know that he will always live on, immortal and beautiful, in our little corner of the universe.Ā
Iāve been dusting off some old, unfinished Labyrinth fan fiction. Not, unfortunately for those who remember it, the sequel to Immortal Love (and I am going to cringe in embarrassment for the rest of eternity over thatĀ particular title). Instead I picked up an old multi-chapter fanfic I started over ten years ago that I never finished, realized it was good, and now Iām determined to see it through and hopefully post it sometime in the next century. I also just vomited out a one-shot story the other day that will probably get posted sometime in the next few days.Ā I donāt know if anyone even remembers that Iām still around. Iām not even sure if I want to revive my old LiveJournal. I hear the Russians run it now, like everything else in this country, apparently.Ā
But if anyone is still out there, or cares, Iām getting my fandom mojo back. Expect to hear more from me soon.Ā
