Hello fellow Kyuwook shippers~
Since it’s the Christmas season, I was thinking of scribbling a small something matching the festive period. I’m also working on my ongoing fanfic at the moment, therefore I won’t have enough time for a properly articulated work, however I was considering to open a sort of suggestions/prompts dump for drabbles or one shots regardless.
So drop me a message, if you’d like to reach out and leave some scenarios or prompts and I will try my best to scribble and post as many, like an advent calendar lol
Me: writing chapter 16 of SSFN, yet in store there are at least 3 more plots for chaptered fanfics
Also me: LET'S WRITE DOWN ANOTHER ONE JUST IN CASE I MANAGE TO COOK A FOURTH ONE...lmao
They’re looking at each other;
Next to the window, mulled wine in their hands to warm up;
The mistletoe is hanging in between, casting the shadow of a knowing move and their breaths are catching;
Looking for just an excuse to lean into a kiss;
One cannot stop looking at the other’s lips and tortures his own with a nibble – language of seduction;
Their breaks are still hinged, too tight, and it’s painful;
Everything they wish for is to break the curse around years of longing, cast a spell, get accustomed to each other’s bodies, map them through their kisses;
Midnight comes, among the starry sky;
Fireworks explode in the background, everyone at the party is loud and happy;
But them;
One more glance, shyness gone, slender fingers reach out for a single touch;
It burns;
Ryeowook looks into Kyuhyun’s eyes, looking for a glint of doubt, yet he finds none;
The loud noise is just a distant echo, muffled by their erratic heartbeats;
Thump, thump, thump,
Breaths are now mingling, steaming over luscious lips, the homey scent of the petite man’s cardigan is alluring, delicious…
Like the lips that he finally – without restraints – is devouring.
“Merry Christmas,” Kyuhyun shyly whispers, as Ryeowook sits still in his best friend’s arms that night. His forehead is softly brushing against the man’s in what looks like a final understanding, their sacred connection elevating to something else. Intimacy.
“Merry Christmas,” Ryeowook smiles back, free of the one constraint that has forced him not to make a move for several years now.
Complice of the change, the night envelopes them in a friendly way, as they are holding hands in front of the window, star-gazing for an answer in their messy, yet mutual feelings. No regrets allowed.
Kyuwook Fest 2022 ~ a short ficlet collection~ [ Marry U ]
Marry U – A simple gesture, one question, could change their lives forever on that last, meaningful day. Especially if Ryeowook is afraid Kyuhyun could be in a ditch because... duh, why is it so difficult to pick up the phone?
Grumpy like he had never been before in his whole life – and that was quite the statement, since he was pretty good at sulking as a weapon to demand things from people – Ryeowook angrily shoved his clothes back into the small carry-on he had taken with him after splitting from the other members, in London.
“Wait and see, Cho Kyuhyun,” he mumbled through his pursed lips while moving around the room to gather his personal belongings “If I were you I wouldn’t even show your face to me,”
Trying his best to push everything into the suitcase, Ryeowook had to eventually give up on his plan to roll up layers of clothes into a single ball when he realised the two halves of the bag wouldn’t properly shut. He loudly groaned as he pulled everything out and on the bed once more. Angrily, one by one, his clothes were tossed everywhere before Ryeowook could talk himself into keeping his cool and neatly folding them back the correct way. Perhaps that might help.
It was late afternoon and, surely he knew he had to pack his things to get ready to travel up north to Rome so they could get on the one-way direct flight to Seoul the next day, however that wasn’t exactly the kind of last day Ryeowook had envisioned to spend in such a beautiful place: lonely and grumpy while recollecting his thoughts and feelings.
After making exciting plans and promising his boyfriend to finally hire a boat to reach the astonishing Blue Grotto, Kyuhyun had left rather early and without any other words but a simple “I’ll be right back, okay?” murmured through a kiss they exchanged after their sumptuous breakfast.
Half a day later, Ryeowook was still wondering where Kyuhyun might have gone without caring to send him any updates on his whereabouts.
Pulling his head higher, Ryeowook took a quick glance at the orange sky casting a powerful, lukewarm light through the window and everywhere in the messy bedroom. He sighed, saddened by the fact that that would have been the last sunset he was going to witness on that magical isle, and the first one without his lover by his side.
No matter where they were, on the beach or taking a walk through the old, narrow streets back downtown, Ryeowook was always accompanied by Kyuhyun, who had also sworn to him that they would always watch the sunsets together, for as long as they were allowed to be together on earth.
The fact that now Ryeowook was sitting on the bed, rather disheartened, surrounded by his things, alone in the messy room that looked as if a small tornado had just decided to target that very same area to sweep things around in confusion, was making him feel concerned as well.
Going through pretty much all the stages of anger, Ryeowook was now nearing despair as he took his phone into his shaky hands and typed another message directed to Kyuhyun.
“Please, call me back so I can understand if you’re still alive,” Ryeowook typed, now very worried as per why Kyuhyun wouldn’t even bother replying or calling him at all. What kind of urgent business did he have in a foreign country, to be this out of reach?
Ryeowook quickly scrolled through all the messages he had sent, the beginning of which had no sign to be left on read, therefore Kyuhyun was actively checking his phone at some point.
“Come on,” he muttered again, intensely staring at the screen as if his mental powers had any special ability to manifest Kyuhyun’s reply.
Nothing happened, though.

Kyuwook Fest 2022 ~ a short ficlet collection~ [ Travel ]
Travel – Hectic schedules are finally matching and Kyuhyun is excited as he's planned a well deserved vacation, just him and Ryeowook on a magic island.
“Follow the line, please,” the managers were instructing “Don’t get distracted and just go through security, okay?”
They used to babysit the SJ members whenever they were travelling. The amount of cold-sweat they used to shed was unspeakable as there was always something going wrong while navigating airports: the fans could be too much to handle, some of their precious luggage could get lost, a member could get lost (possibly while shopping at the duty free and taking too much time instead of running after the staff).
Seriously, too many scenarios could happen during a brief visit through the airport, and the managers had to sit through classes so to learn them all and potentially prevent them from happening.
“Hyung,” Kyuhyun jogged to reach Ryeowook’s manager, tugging his hoodie to finally catch his attention. The man briefly swirled around and caught Kyuhyun’s worried expression. He drew in a loud sigh and nodded: “I know, Kyuhyun. Don’t worry, everything’s been taken care of. You only need to go through security and then I will tell you which gate you need to reach,”
Kyuhyun’s face lit up in joy as he stepped back and waited for Ryeowook to catch up with him.
“All good?” Ryeowook asked from behind the mask. He was clad in so many layers of clothes, it was actually hard to tell what he looked like, especially from under the bucket hat he wore to tame the messy hair he didn’t have a chance to comb that morning.
Nodding, Kyuhyun simply grasped Ryeowook’s arm that he linked to his own and led the way: “I’m just excited,”
“For what? Going home?” Ryeowook inquired, thinking of that as very weird way to express joy over something. It was true that most of them suffered homesickness quite fast, especially towards the type of cuisine they were used to have – every one of them packed instant ramyun and kimchi cans in their suitcases every time they travelled abroad – however for Kyuhyun to be extremely happy about sitting for fourteen hours straight on a plane was a bit too much to believe.
Kyuhyun kept silent, although Ryeowook noticed the small smirk on his boyfriend’s lips when he had to take off the mask to pass through controls. That smug expression told him that Kyuhyun was actually hiding something from him, and Ryeowook’s brain gears started moving frantically in a futile attempt to discern what that could be. After passing through security, Kyuhyun waited until the whole group was sitting down in the waiting area before he walked to Ryeowook and sat down with him.
“Care to tell me what you’re hiding?” Ryeowook promptly asked, his eyes never leaving the screen of his phone where he was quickly typing a text to his mother.
“So…” Kyuhyun began by clearing his voice “I checked our schedules and it seems we do have a few more days off that are overlapping and I was thinking – the man fished two flight tickets from his handbag – that maybe we could take one more holiday before going home,”
Stirring in his seat, Ryeowook stopped typing his message only to quickly move his shocked gaze on to Kyuhyun. The latter knew that Ryeowook was at loss for word, therefore he appealed to his hidden talent – a kind of cheesy cuteness that worked absolutely every time with Ryeowook – and with his most mellifluous voice tried his best to seduce his boyfriend into the idea “No managers, no members around. It’s just the two of us enjoying some quality time together as a couple,”
Kyuhyun ducked his head and reached Ryeowook’s ear, where he whispered in a very sensual way: “And if you don’t fancy visiting anything, we could just make love all day long, if you want,”
Blushing hard, Ryeowook quickly pushed Kyuhyun away, frantically looked around himself to see if anyone might have overheard the indecent proposal and finally clasped the man’s mouth shut, too scared to remind himself that – beside their team – no one else would understand them speak Korean.
“Are you crazy?!” Ryeowook asked, still flustered.

Kyuwook Fest 2022 ~ a short ficlet collection~ [ Bed Sharing / Roommates ]
Bed Sharing / Roommates – Ryeowook has never doubted Kyuhyun's love before, but sometimes scenarios in his mind differ from his reality. Sharing the bed with his lover is the only way to tame his insecurities.
The spotlights in the carpeted hallway of the hotel had been dimmed, signalling that it was past midnight and time to go to sleep for all the residents. No one was seen nor heard, until a soft click of a door echoed throughout the corridor. The complimentary, soft slippers silently padded their way till they reached a door just a few metres away from theirs. A soft hand clasped the handle, while the other tapped a magnetic key against the lock, wincing as the unlocking noise resulted even louder in the dead silence of the night.
“Ryeong?” a husky, velvety voice came from the bed. After closing the door behind himself, Ryeowook swirled around, pointing his soft gaze towards the direction the voice was coming from, only to find Kyuhyun comfortably lying against a pile of pillows while still contemplating his huge book.
“I thought you wanted to take your time while packing your stuff,” bewildered, Kyuhyun kept on looking at Ryeowook who took off his spongey bathrobe and tossed it onto a soft armchair somewhere in a corner of the room. Wearing nothing but a wrinkly, large t-shirt and a pair of shorts, he quickly reached the king-sized bed and crawled on it, wanting to reach the empty spot by Kyuhyun’s side.
“I’m done with packing, everything is ready for our departure, tomorrow,” he calmly explained as he took his sweet time arranging a few pillows next to his lover and then plunge into the soft comfortability of the mattress.
Setting aside his book – who had any time to read books when your cute boyfriend was nestling by your side, anyway – Kyuhyun let out a soft giggle. He moved his arm so that Ryeowook could scoot closer to his body and then held the man against his chest, where Ryeowook rested his head.
“I want to sleep with you tonight,” Ryeowook softly admitted, amidst a small yawn.
“You’ve spent the last three days ignoring my invitations, but you’re using the spare key I gave you just now?” Kyuhyun asked, confused.
Shrugging, Ryeowook placed a hand over Kyuhyun’s stomach, before slipping it around his waist and hugging the man tighter, as if he were hugging a giant body pillow. There was something bittersweet in the way he clung to his lover and Kyuhyun could feel it. It was making him a bit distressed and concerned.
“I know,” Ryeowook admitted “I just wanted to enjoy a bit of time with myself and my own routine, nothing against you,” he mumbled, repeating what he had told Kyuhyun ever since the first day they had reached London and settled in their respective hotel rooms. All the members were given a set of two keys each for their own bedrooms, however Ryeowook and Kyuhyun usually exchanged one so that they could freely come and go from the other’s too.
“You’ve told me that already,” Kyuhyun replied, gently caressing Ryeowook’s hip to comfort him better. “Are you alright? Nothing’s wrong?” Kyuhyun asked, a bit of concern stained his voice while his warm, big hand slipped through the cotton fabric of Ryeowook’s t-shirt to make all his loving gestures feel even more intimate as his fingers lightly skimmed on the bare skin of his lover. Ryeowook’s breath evened while he softly purred like a kitten in the hands of his owner: “Don’t you ever ask yourself what would it be like if we weren’t together? If we hadn’t been roommates?” he asked, out of the blue.
Stilling, it took a few seconds for Kyuhyun to realize the kind of question Ryeowook had just blurted. He furrowed his brows in confusion as he found a way to answer without sounding alarmed by that impromptu quiz. Sixteen years later and that had been in no way, for either of them, source for questioning the spontaneity and naturalness of how their relationship had come to be.
Why starting now?
