Pure joy! 🌿🌸🌾 As I was walking into work at the hospital this morning, I was greeted by one of the loveliest bouquets I have ever seen — sitting alone in a little tin cup, propped up against a landscape rock, with a small note attached by a tiny clothespin. It said, “Adopt me, please!” and as I read on, I discovered that it was locally grown and arranged by Ashley Holleman, the floral genius and green-thumb extraordinaire behind Glasgow’s premier market flower shop, Thornless Thistle. And the bouquet was mine to keep, free!, “in hopes [it] would put a smile on [my] face”, as the note explained. Did it ever! You can’t imagine how surprised and delighted I was! I carried it into work on the maternity floor of TJ Samson, and it brightened the day of everyone who saw it. When I came home and had time to examine it more closely, I couldn’t believe the variety of wildflowers it included and the incredible attention to detail. It truly is an exquisite arrangement, and I am so thankful to be its recipient! I feel so blessed to have it in my home. 🥰 Now more than ever, it is important to shop at our local businesses and support our neighbors and their families. Friends in the Glasgow area, please see Ashley at Thornless Thistle if you are in need of fresh flowers for a friend or just want a little piece of natural artwork to brighten your day. (You can find her on FaceBook.) Her talent is incredible, just like this bouquet! Thank you! ❤️ @kyhorticulture @KYHortCouncil #kycutflowers #kyflowerfarmer #kyproud #thelonelybouquet (at T.J.
