First encounter with Ky

[(fox-pear): The following is a role play where Sole meets Ky, who belongs to @thecrazygamingmochiqueen / @kyonitale . After the events in this RP, they met again at the time party.]

*Sole suddenly appears near the door to the ruins, in the woods, near the bridge, they clutch their left arm and look around... after not seeing anyone they let out a sigh and sink down to the ground and look at their arm*

Ky is in the trees, peeking out from behind one curiously. He debates in his head if he should go up to the human or stay at a distance. They could be hurt.. but they could also be dangerous.

*they pull back their sleeve, it seems they are injured, blood was starting to seep through their sleeve, they wince a bit as they look at their injury*

Eventually curiosity, and wanting to help the human, win over his wariness, and he hesitantly makes his way out from behind the tree. "Uh.. h-hello..?" He really hates that stupid stutter he has.

*they gasp and cover their arm with their sleeve and try to hide their bloodied sleeve, they glance at Ky* "....Hi... I didn't know anyone was around here..."

"Yeah, n-not many monsters come around this part of the forest... just m-me usually.."

*looks down, still hoping to hide their injury* "I see...." *they glance around a bit* "...So you're the only one around here then?"

kyonitale

"Y-yeah." He replies. "Are you.. okay? You looked hurt.." He gives them a questioning look, wide mismatched eyes blinking owlishly.

*shifts a bit* "I'm... uh... I was kind of just looking for somewhere to be alone..." *they grip their left arm* "Y-yeah.. I'm hurt.."

"Well you want some h-help? I'm not skilled in healing magic but I'm s-sure I could figure something else out. Might have s-some bandages or something." he suggests.

*they look at him carefully* "Bandages... might help... I don't want my clothes to get dirty..."

kyonitale

"Okay, I can get bandages!" He perks up a bit, glad he can help. "So y-you want to come with me or should I bring them h-here?"

*looks at him and looks around a bit and sighs* "Could I ask you to bring them here...? I'd rather no one see me..."

"Ok, well, just stay here th-then!" He says. "I'll be back soon!" He quickly runs off and disappears into the trees.

*they take this opportunity to look at their injury, they rub some snow on it to try to clean the blood off, they do the same to their sleeve*

About ten minutes later he comes back, running up from somewhere in the trees. "Okay, I'm b-back." He crouches down in front of them. "Can I look at it?" He questions. His claw like fingers dig into the roll of bandages a slight bit.

*they look away but show the Sans their arm, its covered in multiple cuts, none of them seem too deep, they had cleaned off mostly while he was gone, the snow is dyed pink slightly, but they don't seem to be bleeding right now*

"What happened?" He questions as he gently takes hold of their arm and starts to wrap it in bandages. He tries to avoid hurting them as much as possible, fully aware that his claws could accidentally cause more problems. "You don't have to tell me if you don't want to.. but I-I'm just curious." He adds.

*looks away and remains silent as he wraps the bandages on their arm* "I'd... rather not talk about it..."

kyonitale

"O-ok. If you don't want to I can't make you." He doesn't push the matter any further. "There you go, I'm finished." He leans back, letting go of their arm.

*they look at their arm carefully and looks at the Sans* "Thanks..." *they pull their sleeve down* "...Is your name... Sans?"

He looks surprised by the question. "Yeah, my n-name is Sans. How did you know?" He questions. He sits down cross legged in front of them.

*looks at him but doesn't face him* " Did you know... there's such things as... alternate universes?"

kyonitale

"Alternate u-universes? You mean, there are other.. me's pretty much?" He asks in confusion.

*they nod and then smile at him* "Yeah, I've met lots of people!" *they touch their scarf and their smile breaks for a moment, then they clearly try to force their expression to be a smile again* "Its fun!"

"Huh. I never would have thought that!" Ky is pretty interested by the thought. "What are other versions if me like?" He tries to draw their attention away from the scarf, and whatever bad thoughts it's bringing them.

*looks at him* "Uhm... I don't even know where to start" *they laugh a bit* "Anyways... I actually don't want to talk about this... but its how I knew your name was Sans... and why I figured no one would be around here..."

"Huh. That's pretty cool." He grins, any signs of nervousness completely gone now.

*nods a bit and looks at Sans* "You're a bit different than the Sans's I'm used too... though I've met quite a few that were really different... so I guess you are different from the Sans in my universe... is what I'm trying to say..." *they move closer to him, trying take a good look, wondering how he, and this timeline, differ from the 'original'*

"Really? How am I different?" He questions. He isn't quite sure what to make of then getting closer, so he just gives a confused grin. He has a gap in his front teeth, not extremely huge, but noticeable.

*They look at him and start to point at him* "First off... the face..." *motions to his eyes and mouth* "then... the clothes..." *their gaze slowly goes down like they are checking him out* "And those claws..." *they point to his hands*

"My claws?" He holds out his hand, examining them. " Huh. I thought they were pretty normal, my brother has them too, but since he always wears gloves you can't really tell."

*giggles a bit* "Paps with claws? I'd love to see that" *they smile a bit and reach out towards Sans' hand*

"Heh, maybe you can ask Papyrus about his, he'd love showing them off." Sans laughs a bit. He doesn't move his hand away, just leaves it where it is. "He's weird like that, but also really cool!"

*smiles and nods and they take Sans' hand and looks at his claws carefully*

This action earns another confused look from the skeleton. His fingers twitch slightly.

*they continue to examine his claws* "They look painful... " *they let go and look at Sans carefully* "Oh... well, there is one thing I'd like to know... do you only have 1hp?"

kyonitale

He states for a minute. "Yeah. Just 1HP." He confirms. "Though, at certain times I do have more than that." He adds, referring to his Kyoni form in an indirect way.

*tilts head curiously* "What does that mean? ... I'd say... 99% of the time, all Sans' I met only had 1HP"

"Hmm.. well, have you ever heard of a Kyoni? If not I'll have to explain that first."

*looks at Sans and shakes their head* "No, I have no idea what that is..."

kyonitale

"Hmm.. okay. Well, a Kyoni is... a shapeshifter of sorts. But not a normal shapeshifter. A Kyoni has one set form it can change into. Like me, I can either be a little skeleton, or a huge Gaster Blaster Dragon thing. Does that make sense at all? I know it's not the best explanation, but it's the best I can come up with."

*stares as he explains and nods a bit* "That sounds... dangerous? Wow... uhm... haha remind me not to piss you off "*forces a smile*

kyonitale

"Heh, yeah. Pap can do it too. And Undyne, and Asgore, and you get the point! Anyways, going back to the previously mentioned HP increase, when a Monster uses their ' Kyoni form ' as we call them, their HP increases. That's how I sometimes have more HP than usual!" He explains excitedly. He seems to really enjoy explaining things like Kyonis, even though he said he wasn't very good at it.

*continues to force their smile* "Well.. I better watch my step then...." *they take a look around* "No one would come 'round here, right?"

"No, I come around pretty often, and I haven't seen anybody around here before. You're the first." He replies.

*nods a bit * "Well, I'm an anomaly... you could say" *they glance at him* " And.. people tend to dislike me... I don't want to... accidentally give someone a bad impression... when everyone can transform into giant ...uh... monsters..."

Sans gives a slight huff and corrects them, "Kyonis." He doesn't actually seem annoyed, but just feels that the correction needed to be made. "And I doubt you'd annoy somebody so much that they'd wanna attack you! You seem pretty nice so I don't see where there would be a problem."

*shifts uncomfortably* "Well.... I've been attacked lots, so I'll just keep my guard up... I mean... don't you need human SOULs to break the barrier and whatnot?"

"Well.. yeah... b-but I'm not sure that many monsters are going to try and fight you for it." Now what the heck is that supposed to mean?

*looks at Sans* "Well.. If you're sure... but... well.. I'd love to meet your brother, seeing anyone else might be too risky..."

kyonitale

"Yeah, that sounds like a good idea! He's in the Royal Guard and all that, so if monsters know you're friends with him, it'll just make absolute sure they don't try to get ya for your SOUL! I mean, I doubt anybody would try, your SOUL seems really powerful, I can feel it from here, but a bit of extra protection never hurt!" He just so casually slips the comment on the power of their SOUL in like it's completely normal. He stands up and offers a clawed hand. "We might as well go now." He grins happily.

*they touch their chest and look at Sans but takes his hand and his offer to help them stand* " I dislike fighting..... " *they clutch their chest a bit*

"Yeah, me neither most of the time. I would honestly rather take a nap or practice switching between my Kyoni and normal forms, it still hurts a bit actually, so I'm hoping if I just do it enough it'll stop." He glances at them. "Hey, are you ok? Does your chest hurt?" He questions, sounding a bit worried.

*looks at him then looks at their chest and lets go* "Yeah... just ... thinking too much, I guess..." *forces a smile* "I'm fine though! Doesn't hurt at all! " *the last part seemed like a lie*

Ky doesn't seem convinced, but once again, he doesn't push for answers.

*still forcing a smile* "So... Your house... its this way right?" *they point in the direction of Snowdin*

"Yep, that way!" He confirms.

*smiles at him, looking a bit more genuine* "I'm pretty knowledgeable about you! Well... besides this kyoni thing"

*they are both walking to the direction of snowdin*

kyonitale

"Heh, yeah, I guess meeting a bunch of shapeshifting skeletons and fish people isn't exactly normal." He laughs. "But don't worry about the Kyoni thing. Even when using our Kyoni form we still think like we would. For the most part anyways."

*flinches a bit at the last part and glances at him, no longer smiling* "You aren't very reassuring... but I know Paps would never hurt me, so if its just him... I'll be okay...."

"Oh, s-sorry for scaring you if I did! And I don't mean we become more dangerous, I mean we might just pick up odd habits." He says quickly. "And yeah, Papyrus wouldn't hurt you! "

*smiles a bit* "I love Papyrus! He's the Greatest!"

"Yeah, he's really cool! He's in the Royal Guard and all that, so it makes him really happy! And he's a lot stronger than you'd think! He's just THAT cool!" Sans could probably go on and on but to avoid boring frisk to death with his rambling about his brother, he doesn't.

*looks kind of excited and happy* "Yeah, he's the COOLEST! Even if he doesn't like puns... well we all know he secretly does and he's just pretending he doesn't!" *they laugh happily but start to clutch their chest a bit*

"Hehe, yeah. Even he can't deny the punderful jokes I make are quite punny!"

*giggles and clutches their chest a bit harder* "You're very humerus, it tickles my funny bone! Tibia-honest, I could never get bonely with the ton of puns.... skele-ton" *laughs a lot*

Ky bursts out laughing. When he tries to stop it comes out as a snort, which makes his face grow a faded blue color from embarrassment. He still chuckles a little bit though.

*laughs at Sans' burst of laughter, snort, and embarrassment* "Were my jokes a punishment?" *they smile mischeviously*

He grins. "I could probably stand for a few more rib ticklers." He laughs.

*giggles a bit more* "I think I'm fresh out of skele-puns, though. Haha, used them all up in one go!" *smiles*

"Well, I have a femur but I think I'll stop for now!" He replies.

*giggles a bit* "I could listen to puns all day! " *Notices they are awfully close to Snowdin and they clutch their chest a bit, and slow down nervously

"Are you doing okay? You suddenly seem a lot less enthusiastic."

"I'm just uh... a bit worried about heading into town... but I'm sure it'll be fine, really Undyne is likely the only person to try to attack me"

"Well that's no surprise." Sans can't help but look a bit amused.

*looks at Sans curiously as they start to head into Snowdin at a leisurely pace*

kyonitale

"Pap might not be home, but if he isn't don't worry, he should be back soon! He goes on a lot of patrols but if I'm right his current one should have just ended."

*smiles at Sans* "Okay, well, I'm fine with waiting with you in the house until he gets back!"

kyonitale

"Okay!" They continue on, and are soon close to the house.

*smiles at him more* "Sure, we can go in then?" *they reach the door*

kyonitale

"Yep." He grins and opens the door. It actually isn't too different. There isn't a sock randomly laying in the living room through.

*is surprised to not see a sock but looks around and looks at the pet rock*

*they both go inside*

"Thats my pet rock." Sans gestures to it. "Papyrus usually ' feeds ' it though!"

*nods at the sprinkles* "Do you wear socks? do you own socks?" *looks at Sans curioously

kyonitale

"No, not really, they kinda get torn up." Sans replies. "I have claws on my feet too, so socks really don't last that long with me!" He chuckles.

*nods as if understanding something deep or fundamental, then they look around a bit* "So... Whats your room like?"

kyonitale

"Messy." He chuckles. Now that you think about it, he's actually been walking on his toes this whole time. "Papyrus has a much cleaner room, since he actually takes the time to clean it." He says with a laugh.

*smiles at Sans* "Can I see your room? I wanna know if it looks different!"

kyonitale

"Oh, sure. C'mon, up here!" He heads up the stairs and towards his room.

*follows him curiously*

Once inside, he flips on the light. It's messy, but not quite as messy as Sans' usually would be. There isn't a pile of socks, for one, and the pillow is actually on the bed. There are some, questionable claw marks on the wall and floor by his bed.

*looks around curiously and nods taking in the scenery* "I see..." *they turn to him* "My next question then.... do you still have a workshop behind the house?"

He gawks at them. "Is there anything about my house you DONT know?" He questions jokingly. "But yeah, I have a workshop."

*giggles a bit and playfully nudges him* "I've been around, there's lots of... fundamental things" *smiles at him* "So... Uhm... Has Paps ever seen a human before?"

kyonitale

"Nope, not yet!"

ask-soletale-frisk

*smiles at Sans and heads downstairs and sits on the couch to relax* "I guess he will soon!"

kyonitale

"Heh, yeah." Ky plops down on the sofa too, but instead of sitting he lays down and curls up like an oversized cat.

*giggles a bit while they watch him curl up, they decide to sink into the other end of the couch and get comfier themself*

Sans quickly falls asleep, curled up in a tight little ball. After a while movement is heard outside the door and papyrus walks in. He does a double take when the first thing he sees is a human on his sofa.

*looks at paps and puts their finger over their lips* "shhh" *they say quietly and motion to sans*

*they slip off the couch slowly and stand infront of Paps*

Papyrus gives them a questioning look, but stays quiet. After a moment he says "follow me." Quietly and gestures up to his room, so they can talk and now worry about waking his brother.

*they nod and follow paps to his room and looks around his room carefully when they enter*

kyonitale

It's actually pretty much identical to normal Pap's room. He still has the flag and action figures and all that. Unlike sans' room though, it lacks the claw marks on the walls and floor.

*looks at Papyrus and closes the door once they are both inside* "Uhm.. this is kinda awkward..." *they avert their gaze*

"Well I'd guess so, I came home to a human in my house hanging out on my couch while my brother was sleeping." Papyrus replies. He watches them. "And a powerful human at that."

*they twitch and steps away from him blushing slightly and looking away, they try to hide their face in their scarf*

kyonitale

Papyrus gives them a curious look. "Is something wrong?" He questions.

"N-n... y-yes? Actually... Sans also commented on my strength... and it kind of feels like the two of you are looking right through me? Its... embarrassing.."

"Oh, sorry about that! I forget not everybody can sense a SOUL's strength as easily as we can. It's one of the perks of being a Kyoni I guess!" He grins.

*they clutch their chest a bit, still looking away shyly* "I've never felt like this before... kind of feels like... I'm... exposed..."

"Exposed?" Papyrus echoes questioningly.

*they blush more and try to hide their face but stays quiet*

Noticing their embarrassment papyrus changes the subject. "So, human, how did you get here?" He questions.

*stops blushing and glances at Papyrus and then shifts a bit uncomfortably* "Uhm... Sans brought me here, we met in the forest by the ruins.." *hoping this answers his question*

Papyrus nods. "Makes sense, I don't patrol over there, ever really!"

ask-soletale-frisk

*nods a bit* "Yeah, he helped me out and uhm now I'm here... we were talking about you... uhm... is it true that you have claws?"

kyonitale

"Claws? Of course!" He replies. He pulls off one of his gloves and holds out his hand. "See?"

*takes his hand and looks at his claws, holding his hand softly, they press a finger tip on one of his claws gently, testing how sharp they are*

kyonitale

They aren't as sharp as a knife might be, but if he were to put enough force into a blow, he could probably deal some serious damage with them.

*smiles at Papyrus and holds his hands* "I'm impressed! Sans said he doesn't wear socks because his claws keep ruining them, but you're always wearing gloves!"

kyonitale

"Heh, I've got a few tricks up my sleeves to avoid destroying my gloves!" He chuckles.

*smiles a bit and lets go of his hand* "Uhm, may I ask.. about your kyoni form?"

kyonitale

"Oh, my Kyoni form? It's only the greatest of Kyoni forms, for the greatest of Kyonis!" He laughs.

*giggles a bit* "What does it look like? Is it similar to Sans'? " *they look at him curiously*

kyonitale

"Hmm.. a bit I guess! Mine looks more similar to a wolf though!" He explains. Wouldn't that be fun to see running towards you? A giant skeletal wolf and a giant skeletal Dragon. Fun.

*Sole looks down a bit and shifts* "Oh okay. Uhm... Haha, I feel awkward, I don't know what to say.."

"Well if ya want I could show ya my Kyoni form!" He suggests.

*they shake their head vigorously and step away from him* "N-no no no! Uhm, that uh, sounds potentially dangerous and I-" *they gasp slightly and cover their left eye quickly with their left hand*

kyonitale

Papyrus looks slightly worried. "Human? Are you okay?" He questions.

*they seem tense, but are trying to relax* "Y-yeah, its just uh... S-something... in my eye..." *they seem to be lying but they also seem to be a bit frightened of Papyrus

Papyrus gives a sigh. "Human, have I done something to scare you? If I have, would you PLEASE tell me what it was? Whatever I did I promise I didn't mean for it to frighten you!"

*they nod slightly but don't uncover their left eye* "Its just... the possible dangers of these ...Kyoni forms... Its a bit overwhelming.." *they are keeping their distance from Papyrus and avoiding eye contact*

"Is there anything I could do to help make them seem less scary? Really, we aren't dangerous!" Papyrus says. He stays where he is so he doesn't possibly frighten them more.

*They shake their head a bit* "No... I mean... I know in my head... that Papyrus would never hurt me ... but... I guess its just fear of the unknown..." *they smile a bit to themself, thinking about how they usually know so much about everyone else*

"What, what? How do you know I wouldn't hurt you, you barely know me human! Now, I'm not saying that I would, but even I don't start trusting someone that fast!"

*they glance up at him and smile* "I've met plenty of Papyrus' before... Majority of the time... as long as their personalities aren't warped... They'd never hurt anyone"

Papyrus gives a grin. "Well, I don't like hurting monsters, or humans, so you don't have to worry about that!"

*they close their eyes and smile at him, they let their hand drop to their side, no longer covering their left eye*

"I'm always glad to meet a Papyrus, tibia-honest, I was planning on not coming by" *they open one eye as they grin at him, droppin a pun*

"Don't tell me Sans has infected you with his puns ALREADY!" Papyrus exclaims, though he seems more amused than annoyed.

*laughs loudly and giggles a bit* "It was quite... punny actually, on the way here, I had a ton of puns... a skele-ton!" *They wink at him* "And I might have out punned the pun-master, I certainly tickled his funny bone" *they smile mischievously at Papyrus*

Papyrus looks like he's trying really hard to not laugh at the puns.

*giggles* 'thats it, im fresh out of puns, and dont lie i know you liked em!'

"No I di-.. yes I did." He admits with a chuckle.

*smiles and suddenly hugs papyrus* 'heheheh' *they smile at him*

He grins even more and hugs them back.

* they nuzzle into the hugfor a moment before pulling away and smiling brightly* 'you're the greatest!!*

"Well, not to brag, but I have to agree with you human!" He laughs.

'You can brag as much as you want! You are amazing! *they sah happily* ' but sans is pretty amazing too!'

"Heh, yeah, he's pretty great too for someone who tends to slack off pretty much all the time!"

*giggles a bit* "Speaking of, he was asleep on the couch this whole time while we were getting acquainted... should we wake him up?"

kyonitale

"Sounds like a good idea, otherwise he might actually sleep all day." Papyrus agrees.

*giggles a bit* "Heh, I feel bad waking him up, but if we need to make sure he doesn't sleep forever..." *they open Papyrus' bedroom door, heading to the living room*

Papyrus follows them downstairs. Sans is still curled up like an oversized cat on the sofa, fluffy hood pulled over his head to both muffle sound and block out light, as well as keep him warm.

*they lightly touch Sans and stroke the fluffiness as they do so* "Sans...? wake up sleepy head...?"

Sans gives a tired groan. "I dun wannaaaa." He whines sleepily, curling up even more.

*giggles a bit and leans in close to Sans and hugs him, nuzzling the soft floof with their face* "C'mon, you can't sleep all day, I've already gotten well acquainted with your brother.."

"Just a little longer? Pleaseeee?" He snuggles up to them when they hug him, enjoying the extra warmth. Papyrus watches them from a few steps away, amused grin on his face.

*they blush a bit when Sans snuggles back* "Uh.... okay... I can't really say no.... but uh.. do I have to stay here? " *They glance at Papyrus and then try to hide their face in their scarf*

Papyrus tries really hard to not laugh at his brother's ridiculous behaviour and Frisk's surprise and embarrassment that's caused by it. "Mmm.. no.. you don't have ta." Sans replies.

*they continue to get redder and try to hide their face* "Uh... so y-you will st-stop c-cuddling me and uh.. thats okay?" *they start to pull away slowly*

"Mehh.." He doesn't bother trying to form an actual sentence and just pulls away a bit to let them know it's okay.

*they get up quickly and suddenly and continue to try to hide their face as they peek at Papyrus before turning their gaze sharply to Sans and stands there awkwardly*

*they go into the kitchen* "I can't remember the last time I-" *they stop, they had been smiling but the smile has faded and they stand in the kitchen staring blankly at nothing

"Human? Are you okay?.." Papyrus watches them, looking for some sort of reaction.

*they reach towards their scarf and stop suddenly and let their hand drop and turns to Papyrus with a smile on their face, but it seems perhaps force* "Just fine! I forgot how to cook for a second! haha!" *they laugh*

Like sans had earlier, Papyrus doesn't seem entirely convinced that they're okay. "Well, if you forgot how to cook at least you'd have the Great Papyrus to teach you!"

*they smile bigger and more genuinely* "I'd love your help! I bet you're a great teacher! Since its your kitchen... why don't you show me!" *they gesture to the rest of the kitchen*

*smiles happily, looking rather excited now* "Yay! I'm looking forward to it! What should we start with!!"

"First we have to cook the noodles! Undyne says you ' gotta be aggressive! C'mon, show those noodles who's boss! ' and be super mean to them, but maybe we shouldn't just because I almost burned her house down last time we did that!" He grins.

*giggles a bit* "Well, I'm really good at being gentle and docile, so lets not force ourselves."

Papyrus grabs the noodles and a pot. "Here ya go human, you can hold those while just get the water!" He hands them the noodles. Surprisingly, their sink isn't quite as oversized as it usually is.

*they smile a bit and hold the noodles carefully and they watch Papyrus get the water ready* "After we get the water ready.. the hard part is the veggies!" *they smile at him*

"Yeah, but it's nothing we can't handle!" He sets the water to boil.

"Well if you don't like cutting them, I'm sure I can do that! You can make sure the noodles don't boil over if you'd rather do that." He suggests.

*smiles at him* "Sure, I don't have a knife for cooking so... I don't know if I'd be very good at cutting veggies... and if we can work together as a team, it'll make everything easier!" *they clench their fists, looking rather determined*

"Exactly!" Papyrus agrees. He gets out the vegetables.

After a bit papyrus finishes his task, and the sauce is done.

*they smile at Papyrus* "Now we just need to strain the pasta, should I let you do that?" *they tilt their head curiously at him*

"Sure, that part I can do." He puts the strainer in the sink and grabs the pot, pouring the noodles and water out.

*they get out 3 plates and forks, since the food is almost ready, they glance at Sans as they set the table* "Should I get Sans while you finish up?"

"Yeah, if you wouldn't mind!" Papyrus nods.

*they walk over to Sans and crouch down, they pet the floof and nudge him a bit* "Sans, its been awhile and food is ready" *they say it a bit quietly, not wanting to startle him*

Sans twitches, eyes blinking open slowly. "M'kay.." He nods and stretches. You can hear some of his joints pop as he stretches.

"Are you petting my hood?" He questions and laughs a bit, now a little more awake than before.

"Do ya mind telling me why?" He doesn't seem bothered, just genuinely curious as to why they were petting his hood, as if he doesn't quite realize it is so fluffy it practically begs to he touched.

*they blush a bit more *"It just... looks so soft... I feel compelled to touch it... and..." *they look away and mutter* "...Its attached to you and you're so adorable when you're sleeping.."

His face gains a faded blue blush at that comment. "A-adorable?" He stutters.

*they blush more* "Y-yeah... L-like a pet!" *they smile awkwardly at him*

He laughs a bit. "I guess Pap was right when he called me a cat." He gives a grin, trying to make things less awkward.

*they finally stop touching him and shift away* "So... uh ... spaghetti..." *they glance at the kitchen*

"Oh, yeah, yeah, food!" He hops off the couch. "Pap is probably going crazy waiting for us." He laughs.

"Really? I bet it will be twice as good then." He replies. "There you two are! I was wondering what was taking you so long!" Papyrus exclaims when they enter the kitchen.

*they smile a bit* "I'm looking forward to eating!- "*they look at the table and the three plates, their expression changes drastically as they stare at nothing, they twitch slightly and force a smile then takes a seat*

The skelebros exchange a look for just a split second when Frisk stares off into space for a moment. Both of them sit down as well.

*they take a bite of the spaghetti and eat it happily, but their expression changes again and they drop their fork and put their hands on their face, covering their eyes, they rest their elbows on either side of their plate, holding their head in their hands, they bite their lip*

"Human? Are you alright? What's wrong?" Papyrus questions, worry clear in his voice. Sans has stopped eating and is looking at Frisk with an odd expression on his face.

*they start to sob as tears run down their face, however they don't seem to hear Papyrus*

"Hey, human! It's okay, there's no need to cry!" He crouches down next to their chair.

Papyrus gives sans an ' uhh, help please? ' type of look, unsure on if he follow them or wait for them to return when they are ready. Sans stands up and says, "here, I'll get them. You stay here, okay?" Papyrus gives him a skeptical look but lets his brother follow after the human.

*they leave the house and start heading towards the woods, where they met Sans, they are walking quickly but as the sobbing and crying gets louder they start to move faster until they are running full tilt*

Thanks to the footprints in the snow, following them isn't that hard. Once he relizes where they're going he wonders if he should just use a shortcut to get there, but quickly decides against it. "I'd probably scare them half to death, just popping up out of nowhere." He reasons out loud.

*eventually they fall to their knees, at the spot where they met Sans, and they start pulling the bandages off as they sob and cry, but its a bit quieter, since they are trying to hold back*

Sans catches up soon after. "Tiny skeleton, little legs, not meant for running." He pants, but quickly stops joking around when he realizes that they're still crying and now messing with the bandages.

*they don't seem to realize Sans is there and they start to get frustrated in their attempts to take off the bandages and start to cry a bit louder, after a moment they give up and take out a knife form their pocket, they roll up their sleeve, the sobbing halts* "..." *they take the knife and cut the bandages off, leaving a trail of blood, having cut themself as well as the bandage, after a moment they pull the rest of the bandages off easily*

"Frisk, what are you doing!?" Sans rushes up so he's right in front of them. "F-frisk? Hey, talk to me, please?" That nervous stutter is back. He has absolutely no idea how to handle the situation.

*they look at him emotionlessly, tears running down their face* '...'* they dont respond but look him in the eyes as they run the knife on their arm again, this time its more clear that they are hurting themself on purpose*

When he realizes this he tries to take the knife away, though heaviest just yank it away. "Hey, Frisk, wh-whatever's wrong, I really don't think th-this is the answer.

*they look upset as he tries to take the knife away and they struggle a bit but manage to put it in their pocket.. after a moment they look at him* 'what else am i supposed to do!?'

"We should probably bandage that again.." Sans comments. He stands up, offering his hand like before. "C'mon, let's get b-back. I know a shortcut." He gives a slight grin.

He nods and starts walking, then seems to think of something. "Hey, kiddo, I just realized something. You know my name, but what about you? What should I call you?"

He grins, leads them a few steps, and suddenly they're right in front of the Skelebro's house. "That's a lot faster than walking, huh?" He laughs a bit.

*they giggle* "You betch'ya, I know lots about shortcuts!" *they smile at him and they look at their arm and lightly pull down their sleeve, hoping it doesn't get bloodied*

He leads them inside. "Pap' we're back!" He calls out. Not even ten seconds later Papyrus bursts into the room. "You're back! Thank goodness I was worried!" He gives them both an almost bone crushing hug.

"Why not?" He asks, head tilting slightly to the side as he gives them a questioning look. "If anything he'd probably fret over you and do everything for you just to make sure you feel better. He's pretty cool like that!"

Ky looks skeptical about the idea of not telling Papyrus. He tells his brother everything really... Well.. almost everything. He nods though. "Okay, if ya say so. Here, come sit on the bed while I dig around for bandages."

*they nod and sit on the bed, they lift up their sleeve and inspect the wounds carefully and then sigh and lie down on the bed, staring at the ceiling*

Eventually Ky comes back over to the bed with another roll of bandages. "Do you want me to do it again, or do you want to?" He questions.

He nods. Like before, he's careful to not accidentally hurt them as he wraps the bandages on their arm.

*they watch him* "... you had asked.. what had happened... well, now you know... I did it myself... all of it..."

Sans is quiet for a moment as he finishes wrapping the bandages. "S-sole-.." he takes a breath and focuses on not stuttering, "Soul, please, don't do this to yourself. No matter how much it hurts, adding to the pain doesn't really do much more than add to the scars." He sighs and kinda shrinks into his hood, hiding in it sort of. "It ju-just.. isn't worth it..."

*they pet his floof* "Its okay, It helps me... and I could erase it all if I wanted to... I have that kind of power... but I want to feel the pain... Because... if I don't feel physical pain... my heart might break"

Ky gives a hum of acknowledgement and lets them pet the fluff on his jacket. "Whether you can fix it or not.. I still don't think this is the best solution." He says after a moment. "But.. I can't exactly stop you either."

"Oh my god the spaghetti." He looks almost as devastated as they do. "Papyrus probably waited this whole time too, there's no way he'd continue eating without us."

Papyrus jumps in surprise when Sole randomly runs in yelling. "Human, it's okay, you don't need to apologize!" He says. "As long as you're okay, I honestly don't mind!" He assures them.

Papyrus can't help but grin at their sudden excitement and laugh a slight bit. "Ok, I'm coming!" He lets himself get dragged along. Ky follows just behind them.

"Unless you want cold spaghetti, yeah, microwaving it is probably a good idea." Ky replies. "And I should really heat it up with the puns, I haven't told that many today. By the time I go to bed I'll be on fire!" Leave it to him to randomly start telling puns. Papyrus gives a huff, but doesn't actually sound too annoyed. "You and your puns."

Sans gives to sit down himself, yet somehow fails at the simple act if sitting. He somehow ends up sitting in the edge too much, which results in him pretty much falling off. He flails as his chair tips with him, claws scrabbling for purchase on the table but really they end up just scratching it. He hits the floor with a thud, and the chair clatters loudly on its side. "Oww..." He mumbles.

*Sole stands up suddenly and bolts to his side* "Ow?" *they say and they look at him carefully* "Are you hurt?! Are you okay?! You need to be more careful! " *they seem very concerned, after all, Sans only has 1hp...*

"I'm fine, I'm fine, sorry for scaring you." He sits up. "It'll take a bit more than falling out of a chair to turn me to dust though." He gives a grin trying to show that he really is alright. Papyrus looks from the microwave where he was watching the spaghetti turn like a cat watches a mouse. "They are right though Sans, you DO have to be more careful!"

"Hey, I'm fine, see?" He stands up and holds out his arms to show he's okay. "Nothing wrong! And nothing hurts!" He assures them. "If you want something to worry about though, our table probably got the worst of it." He gestures to the area of the table that is now littered with scratches from his flailing and attempts to stay upright.

Ky is giving them a questioning look. He knows for sure that no matter how good pasta is, it really doesn't make people blush. Still though, he doesn't comment on it to avoid more embarrassment than necessary.

*continues to eat the pasta, trying not to make eyecontact with either of the brothers, once they are done they pause* "What now...?"

"Well, I was going to patrol and train with Undyne after!" Papyrus states. "If you want, you can come with me while I patrol!" He suggests. Ky shrugs, "I was honestly just planning on napping."

*They look between the two of them and then look away* "Well... UH... you're patrolling for humans... so that'd be really awkward.. I'll just stay here..."

*they watch him go and clear the table, after clearing the table they go and sit on the couch and relax*

Ky follows close behind, and grabs the remote before plopping onto the couch. He seems to have some preference for curling up like a big cat or dog, since much like earlier, that's what he does. "Anything you want it watch?" He questions, flipping through channels without really paying much attention to what's playing in each one.

Ky nods and a moment later Mettaton is seen on the television. He puts the remote down and lays there, looking quite content.

*they start to doze off while watching TV, having had a long and emotionally exhausting day*

By the time they start to fall asleep Ky is already fast asleep himself.

If skeletons could purr, he would be.. no, scratch that, he IS purring. Like a weird cat. How? Don't question it he's a walking talking magical skeleton, purring doesn't really seem that improbable. He snuggles up to them.

*they don't seem to notice or care about the purring in their half asleep state, the floof is very comfy and enjoyable*

Ky continues to quietly purr and stays cuddled up to them. Other than an occasional twitch in his sleep, or a mumble interrupting his purring, he doesn't do a whole lot.

*sole has a much needed sleep, it seems clear that a lot had been going on in their life and that they hadn't been sleeping well, they seem quite content to be snuggling with someone*

After a long while of snuggling, maybe an hour or two, Ky's purring goes quiet, and he tenses up in his sleep. Occasional mumbling quickly becomes more frequent, and some unintelligible words melt to a whimper at the end. He curls up in a little ball, slightly shaking, and still mumbling in his sleep.

*Sole seems to be a light sleeper and wakes up from his change in behaviour and slight whimper, they look a bit confused and look at him for a bit trying to understand whats going on, then they mutter to themself* "Ah... probably a nightmare..." *they shake Ky slightly* "Ky? Wake up, its okay..."

Ky moves slightly away from their hand when they shake him, giving another whimper as he does so.

"Shh,shh its okay Ky, wake up... " *they hold him and pet him softly*

After a moment he does wake up, still tense, shaking, and whimpering. He suddenly clings to them like a lifeline and quiet sniffles are heard from him.

"N-no, really it-it's... fine h-honestly.. like I s-said it'll never a-actually happen, it wa-was just a bad dre-dream..." He glances away, trying to brush it off as nothing when the slightly blue tinged tears that run down his cheekbones seem to prove otherwise.

*they sigh and pet him* "Listen, if you want to tell me, I can help reassure you that it'll never happen... but... If I do think it could happen too... we can do something about it"

There is a long pause, enough for them to wonder if he's going to reply at all. Then he starts talking again. "Well.. I-it... there was P-Pa-Papyrus.. b-but he wasn't ac-acting l-like himself.. s-so, I tried a-asking him about I-it... the rea-reaction I got w-was far fr-from pleas-pleasant..." He starts. "And.. He w-was yelling, I-insulting me ev-every other sentence... s-said i was useless.. w-weak... a p-poor excuse for a br-brother... Then he s-stormed off.." He sniffles again, tears leaking from his eyes even more than before. "Then.. I d-don't know what h-happened, but.. I was in.. I-in the forest.. and his s-scarf was there... and I k-know... I know w-what that means.. then the v-voices started.. they w-were so awful.." He clings to them even tighter, hiding his face in the space between their neck and should, a quiet sob coming from him. " 'Y-your fault! He's d-dead thanks to you! What k-kind of br-brother are you? Y-you knew, but you let him D-DIE! '" He mimics the voices in a slightly high pitched tone. "A-and they're right! I h-had a bad fe-feeling the s-second he left b-but didn't do ANYTHING!" He wails loudly.

*they hug him tightly* "Its okay, its not your fault ... if anything ever happens to Papyrus, its not your fault... and I'd hurt anyone who says otherwise.." *they pet him trying to calm him down* "As...for... c-care to explain... Did... Paps have a weird outfit... spiked shoulders.... a scar....?"

He seems unsure. "H-he looked.. Weird.. I think h-he maybe did..?" Ky still clings to them, but at least now he isn't crying quite as much anymore. "I-I.. don't know.. how he l-looked different exactly... I just.. kn-know he did... I think... He l-loo-looked the s-same too though...." He mumbles.

He hesitates, which probably makes the answer obvious before he even confirms it. Then he gives a slight nod. "No-not real o-often though..."

"Mhmm.." He nods. "He usu-usually looks n-normal.. just.. a-acts w-weird.."

*they sink into the couch and let out a sigh* "I was getting worried... it was my fault... because.. heh. That Paps, I met one like that. "

He gives her a questioning look, rubbing at his eye sockets to get rid of the lingering tears. "How c-could it be your f-fault? You haven't done an-anything.. and, th-there's a Papyrus who a-acts like the weird o-one?"

*they nod a bit* "Alternate universes... it seems... your memories... dreams... are overlapping with other universes.."

"Ov-overlapping with other -universes? H-how does that even work?"

*they shrug a bit* "I don't know... but ... That definitely sounds like Underfell!Papyrus... " *they seem to be choosing not to comment on the other part of his dream other than what they had said previously*

"Well I-im r-really not l-liking this other P-Papyrus, if t-that's how he tr-treats his bro-brother." Ky says. "B-but if.. He d-died in m-my dream and that's a m-memory.. d-does that m-mean he died in that other u-universe?.."

*they twitch a bit and a sad smile creeps onto their face* "Listen Ky, we both know Papyrus really well... He'd never hurt anyone.... but... what if someone was going to hurt him?... Especially in a world without Kyoni forms..."

Ky is quiet as they speak, other than the occasional sniffle.

*they pet him softly* "I'm not going to finish this... I'm sure you know what I mean..." *they hug him close*

He nods slightly, knowing exactly what they mean. He eventually starts to relax a bit, no longer giving occasional whimpers or crying quite as much.

*as Ky quiets down, they continue to hug him and pet him, but sole seems to be dozing off*

Ky doesn't bother them, letting them sleep if they want to. He did wake them up after all. He doesn't move though, and stays cuddled up close to them.

*they hug him in their sleep, it seems like they had been struggling with sleeping lately, as they dozed off again pretty quickly*

For once, Ky doesn't sleep. He stays awake, but doesn't seem to mind too much. Like before, the quiet rumbling purr starts up again.

"mm..."* they open an eye as he purrs and they smile at him and they get used to the sound and doze off again*

Ky lets them sleep and just lays there, completely zoned out.

*after a nap, Sole wakes up and stretches, once they are more awake mentally, they blush realizing they had been cuddling with Ky the entire time, they stare at him in their embarrassment*

When they wake up and start to move around a bit Ky is brought back from whatever weird half asleep world he had been in. Noticing the blush and stare his own cheekbones turn a faded blue, and the purring becomes quieter until it isn't there anymore.

*They continue to stare at him, unsure what to say, eventually they look away, still blushing* " Uh... sh-should...o-one of us..uh...move?"

"Uhh, h-here, I'll move!" He says quickly and pulls away, sitting up on the couch. He glances away awkwardly.

*they slide away slightly and continue to look away blushing as the try to hide their face in their scarf* " Uhm..." *they glance at the TV* " is... Papyrus usually gone this long?"

Ky shrugs. "S-sometimes. Depends on how long his patrol is, o-or how long Undyne k-keeps him for training. He should be back pretty s-soon though."

*they nod a bit and glance at Ky, still blushing a lot before they take a deep breath* "Uhm... do you ever... worry about what will happen if a human falls down..?" *they ask that then look at their selves and sigh a little bit* "Though... I guess I'm a human..."

"W-well, yeah. I've thought, and worried, about it sometimes.. heh, you weren't what I was expecting, b-but I'm glad it was you!" He gives a slight grin. "You're n-not all.. bad.. and f-focused on murdering monsters, which was honestly my b-biggest concern. I m-mean, considering how some monsters describe humans t-that's what you'd t-think, but you aren't like that. Which I-is good."

*they look down for a moment before moving really close to Ky and touching his face, they look at him seriously* "Listen... You should be worried... Humans really are capable of such things... and..." *they look away before they continue* "If ... anything happens to your brother... don't ever blame yourself..."

He nods a slight bit. "I.. I'll t-try not to.."

*they look at him and sigh before they close their eyes and pull away slightly* "...You'll likely meet someone who looks like me... but they won't have my scarf... You... shouldn't trust them so easily..."

He gives them a questioning look. "Why? I'll be ca-cautions, don't worry about that, but I'd j-just like to know."

*they turn away and sigh* "Well... I've done some things that people consider terrible... so... if I've done it in my Universe... I'm sure... the human that will fall here, has the capability to do it to..."

Ky nods again. "I'll be sure to r-remember that."

*they sigh again, this time it seems like they are relieved as they sink into the couch, they look thoughtful for awhile and then they bite their lip and tears start to form in their eyes*

"Sole?" He questions, giving them a worried look. "What's wrong?"

*they shake their head* "No... I was... just thinking... if it was my fault... because they trusted me... but heh... I mean... They knew how dangerous I was... and its him... so he would have.... anyways..." *they peek at him and smile a bit* "Yeah, I'm okay.

"If you say so." He gives a slight grin, not pushing the matter.

*they smile back at him, trying to reassure him*

*they get up* "I should.. probably go... thanks for helping me out... I'd like to leave before Paps gets back, saying good bye might be harder with him around... but I'm sure we'll see eachotherr again... i'll make sure to stop by"

*they smile at him

"Ok! Well, see you when you come by again! Don't worry I'll be here." He grins and laughs a bit.

*they grin and laugh a bit* "I'll just need to be careful not to be seen by the others next time... you'll also have to let me know if you meet any other humans.. " *They head towards the door*

"I'll make sure to keep an eye for for 'em." He assures them and waves. "See ya!"

*they leave, however, their footsteps stop on the front door simply disappearing*
