The flower is a hibiscus syriacus. Myths of Unova was such an inspiration, and it’s gonna live on in eternity in my heart. :’)
This is, in part, a super later tribute to MOU. I’m super proud that Kynim managed to finish the comic after 6 years. That takes a lot of determination! And it’s been a ride from start to finish.

Finished reading the final chapter of Kynim’s Myths of Unova series and I’m just overwhelmed remembering how amazing this person is to me. Six long years she drew this comic meanwhile irl going for her Phd. It wasn’t just her art style, the world building, and the character development from main to minor to reoccurring characters, progressed so much! I loved every panel of it, and I wasn’t surprised when she announced she wouldn’t be drawing anymore nuzlocke comics. The express reached it’s final destination, now go live life and enjoy the new year! T.T

Hey there, so I actually was the one to play the Japanese ISO and translate that one base convo Faye has to see if she had any redeeming lines that would not paint her as a Alm obsesser...but boy I was wrong. But I will say the other lines that I did translate and read are not like that, and even the character interactions are not about their future canon partners so its not all bad.
I also noticed that the OG Alm's personality is changed to be more sympathetic too. He isn't a dickbag, probably because the old console's character line limitations are not in the 3DS so they can flesh out his personality more. Too bad Faye did not get that treatment.And concerning the maps and mechanics. Yes some of the more broken mechanics from Gaiden are nerfed, and the maps are pretty faithful to the original. Maybe it's because I never had to face the frustration of the OG maps, I did not mind it as much and some were pretty challenging to do, esp in Hard mode. But you might have to buy the game and play it to judge it yourselves (currently waiting for my limited edition preorder)
Hey there! Yeah that must have been a preeeeeeeety big letdown to translate it and get....that. I feel bad for the girl. That’s good that that sort of writing doesn’t extend to other characters, at least. I didn’t realize that alm was dickish in the original but I’m glad they remedied that a bit. If you say the maps are challenging they must be pretty dang difficult, hahaha. I might buy it...down the road but I’m def not getting it on release. Glad to hear your opinion though, thanks!Â
