“How long do we have to wait out here?” Flat whined.

“Be patient, Kitty is coming soon,” My Melody smiled.

“You said that hours ago!” Flat groaned.

My Melody just giggled as she continued stringing together a flower crown. My Sweet Piano “bah”-ed as she shook her head at Flat’s impatience.

Eventually, Hello Kitty and Mimmy came down in a pink hot air balloon from the sky. They waved excitedly at the group down below.

Once the basket landed, Hello Kitty immediately jumped out and tackled My Melody into the hug. The girls squealed as they spun around together.

Hello Kitty exclaimed, “I missed you!”

My Melody beamed in return, “I missed you too!”

It took a while for the girls to calm down, but once they did, it was time for all the fun activities My Melody had planned for the day!

They ran along the vast flower fields of Mariland, made cookies and cupcakes, made a bunch of DIY paper crafts, they had a tea party in the forest with other guests from Mariland, and Hello Kitty showed My Melody a new song she learned on the piano while the bunny danced around.

By the time the sun was setting, the girls were tuckered out. My Melody sighed, the flower crown on her head was lopsided.

The white rabbit then looked around, sitting up, “Hey, Kitty, where’s Mimmy?”

“Huh?” The cat stood up. She looked around the room for her sister, “Hey, Mimmy? Where are you?”

No answer.

They looked around My Melody’s house for a little while before they really began to worry. The bunny asked, “When was the last time we saw her…?”

“Well, I remember that she was definitely with us at the tea party! She asked me to give her extra sugar cubes,” Hello Kitty replied with a nod,

“Then let’s start there!” My Melody ushered them out the door.

The two frantically searched the area of the forest where their tea party had been, as well as the areas surrounding it. But to no avail.

Hello Kitty then pointed to the darker part of the forest, “What if we check there?”

My Melody hesitated, “Um, maybe not. It’s dangerous there. The only person who goes there is Kuromi-chan.”

“Well, then it’s all the more reason to check for Mimmy there!” Hello Kitty gasped. “What if she’s hurt?”

Reluctantly, My Melody agreed.

They trudged through the muddy forest floor. My Melody was on high alert as Hello Kitty continued to scream for her sister. Every branch that hit her face made the bunny jump.

“What are you doing here?”

My Melody screeched before turning around to see what was touching her shoulder.

“Woah, chill out, it’s just me,” Kuromi rolled her eyes as she raised her hands to show that she meant no harm.

“Sorry…” My Melody whispered.

“Hi, Kuromi,” Hello Kitty waved.

“Hey. What are you guys doing in this part of the forest?” Kuromi raised a brow.

“Mimmy went missing, and we were worried that she would be here,” Hello Kitty replied with a small sigh.

“She was here,” Kuromi nodded.

Hello Kitty’s eyes widened, “Do you know where she went?!”

Kuromi shrugged, “Nah.”

The cat visibly deflated as the demon bunny pushed past the two of them. She checked the hole in the tree in front of them before pausing, her eyes narrowing.

She turned around to face them, “But I can help you look for her.”

“Would you?!” Hello Kitty perked up.

Kuromi nodded. My Melody engulfed the bunny into a hug, “Oh, you’re the best, Kuromi-chan!”

“Yeah, yeah,” she pushed My Melody off.

The three girls were inspecting the dark forest, looking for any indication on where Mimmy could have gone.

All of a sudden, My Melody stumbled upon a horn–maybe a bugle?–tucked into a large tree. Its opening was definitely large enough to crawl inside of. Curiously, she looked inside, but it was pitch black.

“What are you doing?” Kuromi scoffed.

“Looking inside the horn,” My Melody replied from inside.

Kuromi’s face scrunched up, “Why? You’re not gonna find her inside there.”

The pink-hooded bunny popped her head right back out, “You never know!”

“I do know. It’s just a stupid horn,” Kuromi scoffed.

Hello Kitty then approached the rabbits, “Did you find her?”

“Nope! But I’m looking!” My Melody looked back inside,

“What is there to look at?” Hello Kitty tried making room for herself to look inside the dark hole, but her bunny friend then disappeared.

It was almost like she was sucked into this musical instrument.

Kuromi’s eyes widened, looking at Hello Kitty, “What did you do?!”

“I don’t know! I just pushed My Melody in a little bit, and then she suddenly vanished!” The cat replied frantically.

“Well, what are you doing just sitting there, then?! Go in after her!” The demon bunny began pushing Hello Kitty deeper into the horn.

On the other side, My Melody had found herself spat out onto the pavement in front of a large building. The sign on the archway in front of her read: “Yumemigaoka Junior High School”. Her eyebrows furrowed before looking back down at her paws–

Wait. Not paws.

Hands.
