Kurloz already being close to (and having romantic history with) someone who regularly makes puns based on a specific animal

both of them having romantic history with and are close to Meulin (she would probably help set them up together too)

both have a theme of intense devotion to the one they love (expressed in different ways)

I think it would be funny for Kurloz to call Horuss "pony bitch" to pair with calling Meulin "kitty bitch"

not too relevant, but they would be a prince/page pairing together

silly in the way that Kurloz regularly cusses a lot while Horuss self-censors and says things like "fudge" and "fiddlesticks"

easily spooked and anxious horse paired with ominous intimidating clown seems funny

Horuss being primarily oblivious probably makes it easy for Kurloz to mess with him by sneaking up and scaring him

I can see Kurloz messing around behind him and then acting like nothing's happening when he looks over at him as a way of annoying him

there can be something clever there with the juju chess board paired with Aranea's analogy on how Horuss is "just another game piece to be moved about the board" with it tying into Kurloz's theme of manipulation
