my favorite ship for kensei is with shuuhei, but i also really enjoy kensei and rose, and i’ve seen some well-done kensei and mashiro (though i prefer to see them in a more sibling-like relationship). i also enjoy some kensei and tousen in a hateship capacity of the sort where shuuhei is just trying to keep them from killing each other.

I can practically hear male!Matsumoto purring, “You’re so dependable, Hisagi-san~” (here’s hoping fem!Kira would be close by to call Matsumoto out on manipulating or leading on poor fem!Hisagi)

Maybe this is after the bankai training incident, with Shuuhei feeling v much bullied by Kensei. Good thing Shinji has ice cream and a hundred years’ worth of embarrassing stories about Kensei to make Shuu feel better.
