It would be interesting to see, I want them to suffer through becoming a better person

"Kennit is very interesting as a ""villain"" because for most of his appearance in the books, he does good things but with the most selfish, and vile motivations. He's a pirate, sure, but he frees a ton of slaves and makes lives for the people of the pirate isles better ! You find yourself rooting for him.

Then he does something irredeemable to another protagonist. And you don't want to see him redeemed anymore. But I kind of want to see it anyway, because in his defense he lost quite a lot of his emotional range (true happiness, love,...) by pouring his (very traumatic) memories and emotions in a magical wood. What would happen if he got them back ? Would he just be broken ? Would he learn and apologize ? Would it be enough ?

Plus I just want to see him suffer, and nothing scares him more than genuine emotion."
