Today we meet two singers who have great success in Richard Wagner's "Parsifal":

Felix von Kraus (1870-1937) was supported by Johannes Brahms and since 1899 he sung at the personal invitation of Cosima Wagner on the Festival. This postcard was send 1904 from Bayreuth.

Mooiplaas (Nice Farm) is one of the most underrated picnic sites in the north of the Kruger. Many people simply drive past without stopping, probably due to the fact that it is only approx 5km's drive south of Mopani. Mooiplaas is right on the bank of the small Tsendze River and has a commanding view from the platform overlooking the river.

A thatch lapa provides shade and somewhere under which one can also prepare something to eat. The whole picnic site is shady and has been sensibly laid out. Besides the usual gas pans and bottles that you can rent, there is also a braai area where you can make a fire and cook your own meat.

Mooiplaas (Schöne Farm) ist einer der am meisten unterschätzten Picknickplätze im Norden des Kruger. Viele fahren einfach ohne anzuhalten vorbei, wahrscheinlich weil es nur ca. 5 km südlich von Mopani liegt. Mooiplaas liegt direkt am Ufer des kleinen Tsendze-Flusses und bietet eine beeindruckende Aussicht von der Plattform mit Blick auf den Fluss.

Eine strohgedeckte Lapa bietet Schatten und Platz, unter dem man auch etwas zu Essen zubereiten kann. Der ganze Picknickplatz ist schattig und sinnvoll angelegt. Neben den üblichen Gaspfannen und -flaschen, die man leihen kann, gibt es auch einen Grillplatz.
