Sometimes Rumi regrets entering a relationship with Mira and Zoey when she did, since she wasn't really ready yet for such commitments. Not "physically", at least. (She wasn't ready "emotionally" yet either, but girly pop didn't really think too much about that at first…)

Because holding hands is great. Cuddling is even better (though has to be incredibly limited - no half-naked cuddling. Zoey and Mira can do that together, but Rumi wants no part). Kissing is just awesome. And making out is a whole level above everything.

But…she can't have sex with them. It's not so much she doesn't want to (she does! She DOES! SHE DOES!), it's more she can't.

Clothes coming off = patterns becoming visible.

Patterns becoming visible = her secret being revealed.

Her secret being revealed = ??? (She doesn't want to know...)

And yeah, her patterns are only on her shoulders and neck for right now. Theoretically, she could keep a shirt on and still have sex with them that way. Except that's not an option either, because her penis is purple. And it has cat-like barbs. And a tapered tip. And it might have a knot too, but she's not 100% sure. (Stupid demon genes!)

No hiding any of THAT with a shirt. It definitely makes going to the bathhouse completely out of the question too...

So for the longest time, Rumi's sexual experiences are few and far between, and she's more a giver than a receiver during them. Mira and Zoey try to return the favor sometimes (they don't like passively lying back and letting Rumi do all the work), and at most Rumi has allowed them to palm or mouth her through her pants (that's fine. That's great, actually. They're not seeing anything anyways, it's just tactile sensation), but that's it. And she's certainly never come for them either.

(She does that on her own. In the shower. Replaying everything in her head, over and over and over again.

The little noises her girls make. The faces they make in the throes of pleasure. The way Zoey whimpers and squirms when she's about to come. The high-pitched whine Mira made once when she didn't want Rumi to pull her fingers out just yet afterwards.

The one time Rumi had almost lost herself during a makeout session with Zoey and growled, which made the maknae's whole body shudder. That other time Mira caught both her and Zoey by surprise when she returned home earlier from a photoshoot than they thought she would, the dancer mounting Rumi from behind as she was going down on Zoey and giving her a reach-around. Honmoon, that was the closest she had ever gotten to coming in front of them-!)

And yeah, maybe it is a little disheartening to her girls that they've never gotten Rumi off (not directly at least, but they don't know that), but it's fine! It's a boundary Rumi has set, and they respect her boundaries! She isn't much of a "sex person" anyways, so they're not going to push her to do anything she isn't comfortable doing.

They've both definitely fantasized about more, of course. About finally getting to see their lover, exposed and as vulnerable for them as they've ever been for her, and making her feel so, so good, just like she does for them. (They may or may not have had a very unserious "argument" before about who gets to blow Rumi first, if she ever lets them do that. It ended very fast when Zoey suggested they could "pass her back and forth like a blunt".)

They don't NEED that, though. They love Rumi regardless. Sometimes your partner doesn't need to get off to enjoy sex. Sometimes it's about the closeness, the emotions. It's selfish to want more from Rumi than she's willing to give. And she gives so much already.

And it's gonna be so hard to take seriously.

I'm not gonna be able to buy the "Ethereal Goddess" narrative (though I'm sure it'd be in a very tongue-in-cheek way) when we already know what a fucked up little creature Rumi actually is.

...wow. I'm really invading in there, huh?

Rumira is objectively a better ship name, honestly. Their names mesh so well together. "Zoerumi" and "Zoemira" look so forced in comparison.

I don't fit in in any of these names at all.

And she wouldn't bring it up with her girls because, like, this is a stupid thing to be upset about, right? Like this dictates nothing about their relationship at all. They're just silly ship names. It's not like Rumi and Mira secretly hate her or anything just because the fandom-made ship names look messy with her name in them.

Stupid thing to be upset about.

Then an interviewer struggles to pronounce one of the ship names while trying to discuss their relationship, on live television. And the studio audience laughs about it. People online afterwards make fun of the goofy pronunciation attempt. People online actually openly acknowledge that most of the Huntrix poly ship names sound weird or dumb to say aloud. A lot of people even admit it's Zoey's fault for having "the odd name out".

And it's too much for her.

Rumi and Mira can tell that something about the interview made her upset too. At first they figure it's because he asked about her childhood in America, or because he openly commented on the fact that it was "a shame" that she wasn't single because apparently a lot of male idols have expressed interest in her "if she was available". (Zoey doesn't want to touch that conversation with a 39-and-a-half-foot pole. Mira doesn't blame her, she wanted to punch the bastard for saying it too.)

Zoey figures that she should just tell them she was upset about the ship name thing. Admits that she knows it's a dumb thing to be upset about, but it felt worse hearing other people say it. It makes her feel like she's invading their relationship. That somehow her name sticking out like a sore thumb in the ship names makes it almost seem like...she doesn't belong.

Rumi and Mira are not having it.

She expects them to not understand or maybe tease her a little bit about it, so that she can act like this didn't happen and move on. She's instead picked up and taken to their couch (couch couch couch) to be sandwiched between them. She gets kisses, cuddles, gentle reassurances that yes she does belong here, they love her, they want her here. After all, she looks like she fits pretty good between the two of them right now.

The next day, Zoey discovers that Rumi and Mira both retweeted a post suggesting a better ship name for the three Huntrix girls that "doesn't look weird, isn't hard to pronounce, and includes all of the girls" - Polytrix.

She likes it.

I just wanted to look at the hug.

I just want to think about the fact that after everything, after realizing she lied to them for years, that she kept such a crazy secret from them, didn't trust them (they'd justify it, though - as soon as they knew, they pointed their weapons at her, she was right to not trust them-), all while they understandably must feel miserable and betrayed and lost...

The moment they hear Rumi singing, there's no question. No hesitation. They start singing with her, they fight through hordes of demons to get to each other, and the first thing they do as soon as they're close enough is hug. And then are so ready to fight by each other's side again! Because they care about each other!

Okay, so, you know how in the movie Celine can even bring herself to touch Rumi, even after refusing to kill her, because of her patterns?

Now imagine we get a sequel movie, we get to see Rumi go full demon because of something crazy or dramatic that happens, and she stays full demon for a little bit afterwards, and Celine sees her like that. Rumi would brace for the worse, because now there's no point whatsoever in trying to hide or deny what she is, but then Celine just...hugs her.

Sure, you can dislike the art style, or dislike the character's designs, or maybe even dislike the pacing, or storyline.

But the meaning and messages in the movie is beautiful. I think it's a breath of extremely fresh air, like going to the middle of a unpopulated forest after living in a really smoggy area all your life.

I adore how one of the messages is to communicate. Without communication, everything can fall apart. And I love how it shows the girls being comfortable enough with the others to talk about their flaws, and when you don't, that's a lack of communication and thus, everything falls apart. But most importantly, they trust each other enough to be their support system. Like yes, you can absolutely rely on your friends, or the people you're closest to that you trust. I'm a person that struggles with communication a lot, so that really speaks out to me.

Another thing is that, the movie shows that it will get better. Mira had a hard life, she didn't fit in with her family whom shunned her, and yet she still found people she can relate to. For Zoey, she was split between those two lives being Korean-American, yet she still found a home. And for Rumi, she had it rough, but when she finally trusted her friends? That's when it got better. Again, trust and communication.

You can be overcome with thoughts that make you insecure, as Gwi-Ma did in the movie. It can even affect friendships, as shown with the girls. But that's all they are; thoughts. They're not tangible, they're not something physical. And with the right support and encouragement, they'll go away. It's why it's important to have safe, healthy friendships.

The girls are depicted without makeup constantly, and that's a beautiful thing, especially with makeup companies shoving makeup down little girl's throats, because makeup makes you 'beautiful'. And I don't mean offense by saying this, but lots of influencers, too. Especially the self-conscious ones that feel insecure without it. That can all affect anyone's minds, and thus make them insecure. And this movie shows that you can be secure in your own body without the makeup. You're beautiful regardless.

I also did see a few posts talking about this already, but the food, The food culture in so many places is strict, and especially with people struggling with weight loss, or anything like that. So to see these KOREAN POP STARS eat and indulge in a plethora of food? It's wonderful to see, especially with how strict food intake is for Pop Stars in Korea and other countries. Plus, Bobby is a wonderful, beautiful, amazing character that shows you can be comfortable with yourself, no matter how you look, or how much weight you have. Nobody made fun of him, and in fact, it wasn't even talked about.

Another thing is that, sometimes the right person isn't the one with hot abs or a mysterious disposition, things that are on the outside. Because looks can be deceiving, and this movie perfectly captures that. Mira and Zoey, and hell even Rumi, got swayed by good looks. But by the end of it? Well, despite being just her type, they were still not the right people for those girls, and once they looked beyond that? They were really corrupt Demons LITERALLY trying to take people's souls and eat them.

(Besides, why have abs and mysterious looks when you could have your two really hot female best friends.)

I also really like how this movie is comfortable in its own culture. It was just Korean culture, and it's perfectly fine to enjoy that, and be interested in the culture, I personally think! You're free to enjoy your culture without trying hide roots, and even represent it, and that movie showed representation without really telling it. (Show, don't tell.)

Seriously, this movie had so many positive aspects to it that young minds NEED to help them develop POSITIVELY.
