hey so how do you think Jafar, Sharkan and Kouha would deal with a s/o who has a cat they are close with. The cat used to be a skinny, feral stray, now it’s a healthy and happy cat who always sticks with its human, but it returns to that state of mind if other people come near it and s/o isn’t in the area. S/o walks over and calms it down. S/o will just tell it, calmly not to do something when it’s misbehaving (like rolling all over Jafar’s paperwork), S/o calls it’s name and it comes running over and climbs up s/o and perches on their shoulder. Also protects s/o when s/o gets attacked. The cat really doesn’t like s/o boyfriend at start, but slowly warms up to them?

Jafar:
✩ Jafar tolerates the cat. He doesn't let you know that he despises the thing with every fibre of his being - but he has raved about it on occasion to some of the other generals. Who remind him you love that little creature with your whole heart, and he just sighs. Until Sinbad cracks a joke about Jafar and the cat having similarities now he's mad again.
✩ When the cat stops being offended by his mere precence he does speak to it when no one is around. "At least I know you'll protect them in the instance I can't." He'll then give the cat a treat before leaving it be. Hoping maybe tomorrow it won't run off with the paperwork he needs to present to Sinbad tomorrow.
Kouha:
✩ Kouha hates the cat. Trust. If you didn't like it so much it would be back out on the street where it came from. Is the story you tell him about taking it in heartwarming, yes? Does he understand why its so fiercely protective of you, also yes? He understands better than anyone. But does that means he enjoys having cat hair over his clothes? No.
✩ The first time the cat swats at him he swats back. And when you say be nice, neither know who you're talking to but both seem to listen. It's contrasted when the first time the cat walks by and rubs up to his leg with a purr. "This changes nothing." He says to the cat, who doesn't care and continues to purr. There seems to be less animosity after this day.
Sharkan:
✩ Sharkan calling for you to come get your evil cat seems to be a regular occurence for a while. Sharkan likes being around you as much as he can, but your cat does not like him being around. Which results in the cat being difficult towards him. Swatting and hissing when you're not looking. Running off when the cat hears him coming and attempting to strike at him so he goes in the other direction. The cat is MEAN to him.
✩ But he doesn't hold a grudge. Especially seeing how much you care about the cat and how fondly you talk about meeting the cat. He instead resorts to bribery. Cats like fish right? Well yours does. As he finds out. The cat comes around pretty quickly after his offerings.
