✩ Kouen openly offers his congratulations to the pair for news of the child on the way, however privately he would remind Hakuei to be cautious because not all in the empire would share similar feelings. I could see him giving the child presents in the form of different puzzle toys once it gets older.

✩ Koumei is similar to Kouen, happy for the pair but reminding them both to be cautious. I could see Hakuei convienently telling Koumei she needs to go do something but is would like someone to sit with her s/o until she returns. This is her getting him to take a break while also making sure her s/o relaxes.

✩ Kouha is kinda like, oh cool. Good for you both. He seems aloof about the whole thing. But he's actually very invested. He's like an old midwife. How far along are you? Are you sick all the time? I heard a servant say if you have more morning sickness its a boy... are you sick all the time?

✩ Kougyoku would offer her congratulations but probably wouldn't picture herself as being overly involved in the life of upcoming child. But she is strangely enough, mostly because she spots Hakuei's s/o around the palace a lot more walking around as they progress along. And the pair talk a fair bit, which eventually leads in Kougyoku counting down the days along side the pair.

✩ Hakuryuu is over the moon for Hakuei and her s/o but also terrified. They've put themselves in a particularly vulnerable position with this child on the way, and despite the danger festering around them, the pair doesn't seem to let it impact their joy. Hakuryuu, won't let it ruin their joy either. Determined to get stronger to protect them all.
