The "XK" symbol represents the Kindred of the Carvings, the fictional cult my horror book is named after. I began work on the "KOTC project" back in June of 2021. I was 19 at the time. Today is the 23rd of June ... it's officially been 5 years. I'm 24 years old now, and so much has changed.
Although I've been working alone on this indie project for a long time, this community has changed my life for the better. I'm the farthest thing from perfect, but I've grown massively from who I used to be. My family's felt the change. So have I. Thank you for all your kindness, patience, and support. Without us, this project would be nothing. Together, we've come far.
Five years from today, how will things turn out? I used to be quite naïve, but I was never optimistic. It's only in recent years that I've started enjoying being alive. I'm excited and hopeful about the future. Time won't take that away from me. Things are difficult, but I'm going to keep on trying. 'Til the very end.
