Like Nagito isn’t *not* in love with Chiaki but he’s DEFINITELY more deeply in love with and intimately comfortable with Hajime, and it’s the same vice versa.
Even though they’re not deeply in love, they still care a whole fucking lot. Chiaki insists that she enjoys being around him and hold him when he’s being insecure, and Nagito makes sure she always has time to take care of herself and isn’t above hugging her on his lap while she plays video games.
