That is sooo cute I’d love to see that in any way, like the characters like Nora and Neon kinda jump on cooing over Oscar would be so funny to see with Whitley. They WILL be his friends whether he likes it or not. I doodled some silly interactions of Whitley and FNKI !!

So like ignore the sadness of the Atlas and Vacuo situation and let’s imagine the characters are all happy in some form lol

Feel like Flynt might take a bit to warm up to Whitley, kinda like with Weiss but they would so bond over music (Whitley trying out jazz sounds so fun)

Neon would be sooo annoying to Whitley, like dragging him around Vacuo and talking his ear off

We don’t know much about Kobalt and Ivori so at the least I feel like Whitley would be so intimidated by Kobalt who probably doesn’t talk to much, and then Whitley would try to appear really cool to Ivori because Ivori just looks cool yknow???

Nato a Parigi nel 1970 ha spaziato nei più vari ambiti artistici, collaborando anche, con la sua carriera da grafico, con l’iconica rivista Playboy. Nel 2010 una svolta decennale verso la fotografia, e poi un ritorno al suo primo amore, l’arte e l’illustrazione. Pioniere della creazione artistica assistita da computer, la sua arte viene venduta online e nelle maggiori gallerie mondiali.

Nelle sue opere ritroviamo riferimenti ad artisti contemporanei come Bansky e Shepard Farey, anche se quello che le contraddistingue è senza dubbio l’uso audace dell’umorismo. Così ci ritroviamo Wonder Woman e Cat Woman intente in un bacio appassionato, Batman seduto sulla tazza del water perché “Il mondo può aspettare”, Gesù Cristo ritratto sulla copertina di Vogue, i Simpson in una sfilata da red carpet.

Gioca con gli anacronismi, con le icone del mondo pop, con il consumismo, in una continua parodia: la fissazione per le grandi marche, la distorsione dei mass media, la celebrazione delle figure iconiche, tutto fa parte dell’immaginario spensierato e rivoluzionario di Kobalt, dove ogni regola viene sovvertita, sottoposta all’occhio del pubblico sorpreso. Il dialogo tra autore e spettatore è immediato, basato sul riconoscimento e l’interpretazione delle immagini.
