This is a drawing I've done of a koala. The koala is an Australian marsupial that lives in trees and feeds on a herbivorous diet, particularly eucalyptus leaves. Its closest living relative is the wombat. They live for 13 to 18 years in the wild. They've got vertical shaped pupils, which is unusual in a herbivorous animal. Another oddity is that they have human-like fingerprints. These prints look very similar to ours, to the extent that they can briefly fool those dealing with fingerprints.

Watching Ocean Summer, the koala I adopted (thanks to @dizzy__lizzie_ ) on my lunch break. In the last two years, the world has become increasingly divided as the elites galight political issues for their own gains, but thankfully I am reminded what really matters. Biodiversity and the protection of our native flora and fauna is something we all should keep at the forefront of our minds in this world. Australia's devastating bushfires of 2019/20 destroyed approximately 25% of ALL koala habitat.
