Students at the University of Tennessee Knoxville have been protesting since Wednesday May 1st to end the genocide in Palestine, and tonight at 9:30, police in riot gear arrived, arresting ten people. News reports (another one) as well as testimonies from protesters clearly show that this was a peaceful protest.
A quote from one protester (a friend of mine who was there):
"Me and my friend had to basically run. Cops showed up at 9:30 we left at 9:10. 10 people got arrested. Our protest was us sitting outside the law building at UTK campus with signs that said free Palestine and other similar. We were sitting on the grass doing homework, talking to each other, making friendship bracelets, and every once in awhile we'd have "history" lessons about Palestine. The cops came in RIOT gear to make us leave.. our protest is as peaceful as it gets."

This is one of my absolute favorite photos I've ever taken. It just feels so nicely framed. I look at it and it makes me smile! This is standing on a hill, and it was so bright outside.
One of my future plans is to take a bunch of different photos of that radio tower from all over the city.
