So what feels like 10 years ago, but was actually February 2020, I was buying yarn to make more bears for the Mother Bear Project, and to paraphrase Michael Scott; I felt the need, the need for tweed. Don't remember when exactly I started bear number 10 here, but he's been half finished on a loom for most of the pandemic. So much has fallen on my ability to make things this year, I just couldn't keep up with my usual charity knitting. But I don't do work on Christmas,...But I am also a fidgety person who needs to be doing something with my hands, so I decided I was gonna finish this bear so some kid who was never gonna get a toy ever, will get a bear at some point. - Learning some crochet this year helped speed up making the arms, and he's got a nicer shape than some of the previous bears currently in the box I'm filling. I kinda want to add a yellow scarf, but I have no yellow tweed yarn (is that a thing?), so I'm debating if that's worth breaking the tweed theme...And then I started going around the house tracking down the donation boxes that couldn't be filled and/or donated as planned this year, because eventually whatever had to close will open (I think Mother Bear Project is open), I'll get my end of it sorted out, and the USPS will be less of a mess, and then all these toys and things can go out and start helping people again.
