An easy knit pair of fingerless gloves. Cast on multiple of 3 +1. This pair is knitted in DK yarn with 4mm needles. Cast on 39 stitches, single rib to the wrist, then bat stitch: row 1: knit. Row 2: knit 1, *(yarn to back) slip 2 purl wise, knit 1* . Continue in alternate rows until desired length. C/O. Sew up sides, leaving gap for thumb. Crochet around edge to finish. For more coverage on thumb (as pictured) pick up 26 stitches on double pointed needles, complete 3 rounds in stocking stitch, then decrease 2 stitches (knit 2 together at start of 1st and end of last needle) each round until 14 stitches remaining. Cast off and press lightly.

Scorching hot weather - so perhaps an odd time to complete a Swiss helmet: but I do like to be prepared!😆

A pleated tea cosy. This is to replace the 15 year old one that was falling apart. It really keeps the tea warm!

Mittens are a great way to use up small bits of leftover yarn . Here are a couple of examples knitted in DK yarn c/o 40 with 3.5mm needles for ribbing, then to 4mm for the rest.
