Weekend program: reading and knitting 📖🧶
I am trying out a new construction for fingerless gloves. As usual, several tries to match a construction with a yarn are needed. The first version of this design idea was knitted in this lovely green, hand-dyed, variegated yarn by Bohei (@bohei_yarns on Instagram) only. But that didn't do justice to both yarn and construction.
For the version shown here, I added leftover orange yarn for contrast stripes and to show off the construction in a better way - and I really like the result. Unfortunately, the leftover yarn is not enough for a second glove :/ I also misplaced one of the stripes on the bottom ...
Therefore, I have to rip it again and choose another contrast colour.

During this heat wave I don't feel much like knitting - that's why I barely managed to knit 15 cm of the back piece of my new cardigan (a joint design project with a knitting friend). But at least it is growing a bit ...
