how people treat you differently when you have an injury
1. people very rarely hold the door for me because my knee brace makes me walk slower.
2. people will constantly cut you off when you’re walking.
3. people will stare at me for a long ass time like i’m some sort of endangered zoo animal but they won’t even bother asking me how it happened.
4. people are uncomfortable by your injury and will try to stay away from you.
5. LOTS. OF. STARING. (they will still stare even if you catch them looking)
6. getting unwanted attention such as people gossiping about your injury instead of asking you.
7. lastly, haters will give you the silent treatment and will not bother moving out of the way for you.
thank god this injury is only temporary. i couldn’t imagine how permanently disabled people have it :(
