Hours ago, she would have never pictured herself in a place like this. Her coworker at the flower shop, Haneul, had slung an arm around her shoulders and told her she needed to go out and get her mind off things. (Vartouhi couldnât exactly explain itâs difficult not to worry when thereâs some unknown pursuer sending dangerous androids after you, so she didnât argue and just went along.) Seeing overwhelmingly good-looking men take off their clothes and dance so provocatively had her covering her eyes and frantically rambling about the situation, though only Haneul heard her over the music. The princess was naive enough to take the otherâs advice and drink to âcalm her nerves.â
There was one that her eyes kept trailing after, especially since it was much easier on her to observe him than to watch the strip show. She wasnât sure if it was the alcohol or not, but he reminded her of someone, and though Vartouhi was sure sheâd never catch that person in a place like this, she couldnât help but look. She jumped, startled as Haneul called out to him loudly, waving him over. The alien gaped at the other, dumbfounded that she would do such an embarrassing thing, to which she just shrugged and responded, âWhat? Heâs hella cute and youâre hella staring.â
