It is not that Klavier is a depressed person. Or a reserved one. He does not hide his amusement and his pleasure about a good joke. But there are times when he is more reserved than usual. It’s something he had learned to accept.

Better days, and worse days.

But that has all been before he had met Bobby. Bobby, who always managed to maintain bright and warm, with a smile on his face. And it is also Bobby who manages to turn those bad days into good ones, as if it were the easiest thing in the world.

Blackbright: actually relatively subtle because simon is a cool and tsundere kind of person and bobby’s affection is easily taken as him being an idiot, so it’s not difficult to stay out of the public eye

Brightwright: no need for subtlety because phoenix doesn’t work with bobby, so they’re free with their relationship

Of course Bobby knows exactly what he has to say to make Klavier feel better. Knows exactly the right words to cheer him up, to make him feel loved. Knows exactly what to do to make him feel safe, holding him, kissing his forehead.

Yeah, you’re right... your mom really is a wonderful woman.

Klavier already loves her dearly. She’s such a dedicated, caring woman, hardworking but never complaining when Klavier is around. She even has sent him a present last Christmas.

At the end of work days, sometimes Bobby stops by his prosecutor’s office to make sure everything is tidied up and Klavier has gone home for the night. (He and Klavier share a lot of documents and it’s always easier to find stuff if he straightens the office a little.) Tonight, though, Klavier looks so haggard and weary when Bobby peeks in, and the detective gasps.

Sir!! Is something wrong?!

Since Klavier is with Bobby and since their relationship is no longer a secret and Bobby can drop over at his office regularly it’s hard for Klavier to work longer. He has done that on a regular basis before he has met Bobby, drowning himself in work, sometimes even sleeping in the office.

Bobby is checking on him, nowadays, to make sure that he doesn’t stay at the office all night long.

Nein… or maybe yes. I guess it depends on how you see it.

Klavier rubs his face with both hands. He feels exhausted and tried and he only wants to sleep but he can’t. There’s still so much work to do which he can’t finish because he can’t focus.

It has been such a long time since they have done something that Bobby wanted in bed. His boyfriend always is so caring, so considerate but Klavier wonders if that is really satisfying Bobby. He knows that the detective is very experienced, especially when it comes to the usage of toys.

Having Bobby to let loose in bed, having him to take the lead entirely is something that Klavier is very much looking forward to when he arrives at home.

He enters the apartment, his voice melodic when he calls out for his partner.

Bobby? I’m home, Liebling!

He steps inside, quickly getting rid of his jacket and his belongings. He won’t need any of this anytime soon again.

Klavier watches with satisfaction how Bobby closes the door and walks closer and he doesn’t fight him at all when he grabs Klavier’s necklace and pulls him closer. There’s a smirk lingering on the prosecutor’s lips, his eyes half closed, the chocolate-covered stick still between his fingers.

I think it’s a wonderful day to start our relationship… and one that I remember easily.

He reaches out with his second hand, gently running his fingertips through Bobby’s hair, careful enough not to ruin his perfect hairstyle.

Aber that isn’t the same like a birthday present. I wanted to get you something huge, something amazing, something that will blow your mind!

He sighs and nuzzles his nose against Bobby’s cheek, scattering some sweet kisses there.
